Cheers, All options considered. It works fine now, as I managed to get most of it out, it's just bloody annoying, as the glass isn't clear anymore, and I'm constantly looking at it!

Posted in wanted, but thought I'd mention it here as well, as I'm not sure many people look in wanted! I could do with a Tacho to suit 98 model EU2 supersport, if anyone's got one floating around they don't want. Mine is a Caerbont unit, with Caterham embossed on the bottom of the gauge, with a 3 spade connector on the rear. Unbelievelably, somehow a spider has got into the gauge, left a load of cobwebs and died in there! Managed to blow most of it out with an air gun, then made an adapter to suck with a vacuum cleaner, but just can't get the last bits off the rear of the glass! There seems to be no way to get to the back of the glass, as the front appears to be swaged on. Please mail me if someones got one, as I'm more likely to see an email. Oz.

I have to say. I do believe our Phil is letting the side down somewhat Maybe he's been on the juice, or else the missus is giving him some serious grief, and he's losing the will to live, and this is a cry for help before he tops himself 😬

Forgot to mention. Spare wheels are 15". Anyone used Nangkang something, which are on Camskill at £60 ish?

Now, I know you're all going to start groaning, as it's yet another tyre thread! Anyway, I thought I read something on here recently, about some cheap tyres, but I can't remember what they were. I'd like to try and find something around £60 apiece, that are reasonably sticky for track use only, so I don't cry when I destroy them very quickly 😬 I used to use 888's until they doubled the price, and the R1R's I use on road, although brilliant, are no good on track, as the tread blocks will melt! Anyone found anything? Don't really want slicks, as it would be handy to be able to drive there and back a couple of times, before they are toast! Oz.

Wouldn't mind the throttle cable, if it can be posted? Unless Cookie Monster is at Curborough, and can collect? I assume it fits Standard K with plastic plenum? Oz.

Hi Stephen, I changed mine the first time I had to get them out, as it is a stupid idea! I just fitted allen head bolts instead. Very easy to hold with an allen key. I used stainless bolts, some will say that maybe they should be high tensile, but personally I think that's OTT, and they don't corrode. Oz.

Looks perfect, and will work a treat. Same as mine, although mines mounted on the X, and never had a problem Anyway, more interested in what looks like an immaculate Moggie 1000 convertible parked next to the "lesser" vehicle 😬 I still can't believe, my old man scrapped our 1955 split screen, flip up indicator Moggie 1000 in about 1980, simply because it had sat in the garage for 10 years since the Kingpin on one side had broken, and was taking up space! If only we knew then, what we know now

If I want to get hold of OEM engine/electrical parts for 1600 EU2 98 model from local motor factors/Rover specialist etc. What would be the Rover model of car, these engines were originally fitted to, as obviously Caterham won't appear in their catalogue?? Oz.

Dave, I have a leather coated dashboard, and it's quite surprising how Autoglym leather care cream brings them back up!

Anton, Have to say I'm very surprised by that? Are you sure you've carried out exhaustive testing on roundabouts, as I find it hard to believe that the dry weather grip on T1Rs is as good as R1Rs! Oz.

Anything will do, as they all come with thread adaptors. Halfords, motor factors etc. You don't need a really expensive one, as all you're interested in, is are all the readings the same on all pots. Highly unlikely you'll have 4 duff cylinders. Oz.

Have a look on Car builder solutions. If you've got a carbon aero, they do some very good carbon effect ones, you really can't tell the difference, so you don't need to spend silly money! I've had them on my car for probably 4 years now, and they still look new. Personally, I would have a center mirror, as it's the most stable one if you're trying to figure out if that black BMW or Volvo following you has some extra lights behind the grille! Only thing I had to do, was cut down the stalk of the center one, as it sat too high.

In ten years of owning it, my car has let me down once! Luckily, this was a couple of hundred yards from the Pub 😬 As seen in the long push! Same thing, no sparks. Turned out it was the rotor arm, which happily, Mr RAC had on his van. Could be as simple and cheap as that.
