  1. As above. Would happily consider a full set of Bilstein dampers with platforms fitted (so I can swap the adjustable bits over with the fixed platforms on mine) if they are cheap enough!
  2. Sounds fine to me. My race car has that engine and the oil pressure is very similar to yours.
  3. Ed, thanks for the offer but I've sold it to M1 Se7en.
  4. OMP intercom for use with full face helmets. Perfect for trackdays. Includes: amplifier with separate volume of control for each side 2 x eapieces and microphones Only used a couple of times. Will need 2 new 9v batteries. Total cost new for new equivalent from Demon Tweeks would be £115 plus delivery. £50 including delivery.
  5. I'm just tentatively enquiring, does anybody have a 1600 Vauxhall engine as fitted by Caterham between 1998 and 2001? Perhaps swapped it for a Zetec? Must be unmodified from standard Caterham spec. If you have one available I'd love to hear from you.
  6. For future reference I can confirm that the part needed is Bosch part number 0221122319. I've got mine fitted and it works just fine.
  7. Does anybody have a red anti roll bar (preferably with all the fittings) for an imperial narrow track chassis? It is to go on a live axle car but I don't think the ones from a de dion chassis are any different.
  8. This is what my car's current one looks like. I suspect it is original so dates back to 1998. http://www.lotus7.club/sites/default/files/images/users/6689/coil.jpg
  9. Can anybody recommend an ignition coil for a VX Classic please? I'm struggling to know what to look for on the Internet.
  10. For a race car. Will be painted (and can be bent back into shape providing it's not too bad) so condition not too important. Has anybody got a serviceable one lurking in the garage?
  11. Hi Chris, If you don't have any other takers I'll have the cylinders and shoes. They would be really useful in the Classic Grads spares box. You could give them to Dad at Curborough. Mike obviously has first dibs though.
  12. Smithy, Thanks for your post but I think Dan has now sorted a hood. Sorry, I should have remembered to update this sooner. Matthew
  13. Stephen, it looks like this is what you need http://caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=4430
  14. A friend is after the following parts for a 1999 live axle car with roll cage: Full sidescreens/doors KN Minator 13" wheels (the minilite style wheels as sold by Caterham) Momo steering wheel and quick release boss and column If you have any items please post here or email dlivingstone19 "at" googlemail "dot" com Edited 04.02.2016
  15. Grant, I'll take the VX ignition leads please. Can you send me a message confirming postage cost and payment info please?
  16. The SV that I put on a Minno Max had standard 14" wheels so L7's comment rings true.
  17. I've had an SV on a Minno Max. It was a bit tight but was completely safe.
  18. 4.1 was the standard ratio for Scholarship/Academy cars. Road cars were a different ratio.
  19. The Caterham supplied 1600cc 8 valve Vauxhall is code C16NZ2. It was fitted to some Vauxhalls from around 1992 but is apparently quite rare. Caterham ported the head, threw away the injection gubbins and bolted on twin Webers instead. My car has been rolling roaded at 102BHP and is fairly typical of the other cars on the Classic Graduates grid. They all seem to have slightly different characteristics, presumably due to being hand ported and the setup of the carbs. There are certainly some engines that are slightly stronger than others. Some are relatively revvy whereas others have solid low down torque but a weaker top end (like mine). The engines are becoming harder to come by so if anybody is ever upgrading and thinking of selling their engine please let me know as the Graduates racers are always after them. They are remarkably reliable but the cars are now a minimum of 15 years old so we inevitably have a couple fail each year, and replacements can be hard to source.
  20. The Supersport comes with "Supersport" rather than standard dampers doesn't it? I think that Supersport dampers are the same (or at least very similar to) the M1 spec race damper that was for wide track only and came without the extension piece. See the following link to Catherham's website: http://caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=682 There is no extnesion piece on this damper and it specifically states that it wide track fitment.
  21. Madcat, thanks for the link to my video. I was a bit surprised at what I found when I clicked on your link. Unfortunately there was another car 8 seconds up the road from my little battle for second so it's obviously still possible to go a little faster. Tony, I really can't afford to have an accident so I was taking no unnecessary chances
