  1. It doesn't look like it will clash with a L7C event in 2015
  2. Can those that intend to come but have not yet booked please place your orders ASAP? We currently do not have enough people coming for the lunch to be viable If you intend to come please call Sam and book ASAP, otherwise we will have to cancel as there is a minimum charge from the venue that we have to cover. We need over 40 bookings and we currently have less than 30. Thank you.
  3. Phil, Not really! Many cars from 1, 2 and 3 were tested at Northampton Motorsport earlier this year and that is the benchmark that we have. We are all aware that different rolling roads can give vastly different results so we are trying to establish what the relative performance of a K Series R300 with TBs is compared with the existing Class 2/3 cars that have already be tested at Northampton. The only way to get close to that is to test a standard tb equipped K Series R300 at Northampton Motorsport (even that isn't perfect but it's as close as we can get).
  4. Sorry for not responding on this thread for a while, I have been in France for a week or so. The 2015 regs as proposed 12 months ago will shortly be uploaded onto the website. I will then start a thread on here for each class to have a discussion plus another thread for items that don't relate to a single class. Please bear with me for a few more days.
  5. Thanks for everybody's help. I'll take a look at it when I get a chance and report back.
  6. I was swapping the harnesses in my car for a new set today but have come unstuck. The bolt for the transmission tunnel side lap strap will not tighten up. The bolt does a couple of turns, goes very stiff then stops. I assume the bolt has previously been cross threaded and the thread is damaged. I have tried a couple of different bolts and they do the same thing. Is it safe to clean the thread with a tap on such a safety criical part? What are my options? I was hoping to take the car (which I only got 3 weeks ago and haven't yet driven) to a track day at Cadwell next Monday but am now feeling a bit doubtful.
  7. Please call Sam and get your bookings in. We are very low on numbers currently booked and I'm starting to worry!
  8. I'm also very interested. If Mark doesn't take it please email me mjawilloughby@hotmail.com or call O78O8 571O64.
  9. Chris, Roger and Richard thank you for sortng this out Sorry I was unsuccesful in convincing LDMC to let us do it the easy way and allow the club to book garages in advance for you all
  10. Claire has emailed me to say that the refund cheques will be posted today.
  11. There wasn't a beef option provided I'm afraid Chris. We thought that roast lamb would suit most of those with conservative northern tastes
  12. The club office will be taking bookings for the above from Tuesday 23rd September (please don't call before then). The lunch will be at the same venue as last year's awards do. 13. You could if I knew who you were! Mike Cocker? James Thornton?
  14. Mark, I will see if I can get hold of somebody on the phone this evening to see what is going on. I'm sorry you've had to put up with this poor treatment.
  15. The Minicross Drivers Association have just called me to say that any L7C member is welcome to join them for their final sprint of the year at Blyton. It sounds like they have very low numbers but they have decided not to cancel anyway. They will be using the double lap format that we used in April and you will be guaranteed many runs. Regs here Entry form here
  16. Mark, Sorry to hear you've been having problems with HDLCC. Can you confirm who it is that you have been communicating with please? Thanks
  17. I'm not going to respond now as this can all be discussed when we launch the tech forum.
  18. Simon, the regs in the first post are exactly as we agreed last year. I haven't changed the wording since I made that original post.
  19. Phil, Richard, you are both correct. The standard plenum regulation was put in there to limit the extent to which somebody could develop their engine and then fine tune it for exactly 155bhp over a massive rev range using a programmable ECU. We also need to think about having a nominated rolling road that everybody has to use if requested by the Comp Sec. This is due to the huge variety in results from different rolling roads. Dad's car went on two rolling roads last winter and there was a 13bhp discrepancy between them. Another item to be discussed at season's end.
  20. Phil, it's another item to be discussed in the tech forum at the end of the year I think.
  21. As mentioned at the prize-giving at Curborough, can those that won the "proper" trophies presented at the awards lunch please pass them to Mum and Dad at Loton Park this weekend please? Please let me know if you are not going to Loton so that we can make other arrangements.
  22. I was thinking along the lines of number 3.
  23. By the way, suggestions for the forfeit are welcomed.......
