Black face, white numbers/lines, odo currently reads around 7500miles. Takes speed feed from any type of pulse input ( eg hall effect sensor or magnetic sensor), just tell it how many pulses per mile. It has a Scratch on the bezel. £40 blatmail me if interested.

0-4000rpm in small scale, 4000-8000rpm in large scale. Black face, white numbers/lines. Green backlighting. I think its an old ST400 model, and I beleive it will drive a shift light, and give a tell-tale of max rpm, but I dont have the manual and I've never used these features. £70 Blatmail me if interested.

I can only state my own experience, and with over 40 trackdays (and 20000 road miles) covered on my 200bhp 2.0 zetec using exclusivley 5w-30 (because the tappets rattle with anything else) its still going strong

I use 5w-30 semi synth in my 200bhp zetec and its fine, no problems at sustained high revs (eg trackdays). I did try a 0-40, 10-40, 10-50 etc etc, because various people told me that 5w-30 would be too thin for the state of tune the engine was it and they all caused rattling tappets after sustained high revs, the only oil out of all the ones I tried that didnt cause rattly tappets was the 5w-30. This is on a fairly early zetec engine though (1994ish)

Could it be a buggered gearbox? Have you tried turning the engine with someone sat in the car with the clutch pressed in.

I have one on caterham, works well, but needed different driveshafts to the standard caterham driveshafts.

No I dont, but I just bought the standard pipercross blank backplate (the one with no holes), and drilled my own holes so that it fitted, its was quite straightforward but a bit time consuming.

Not on carbs, but am on jenveys and the pipercross dome filter fits on my zetec fine. Had to modify the 'blank' backplate though.

Got a recurring problem with the engine mounts on my car. Its zetec engined and it uses the raceline mounts. Problem is the left hand side mount always eventually cracks after a year or so. It cracks at the weld where the square section tubing meets the bracket that bolts to the engine. Its not a major problem to replace, but I was wondering if anyone else suffers the same problem, or whether anyone has any ideas what might be causing it. I'm onto the 4th replacement in 5 years. The car has a fairly hard life, being used mostly for trackdays, engine is probably putting out around 200bhp, and its driving through a regular AP clutch to a quaife straightcut type 9 box.

Which honda engine is it? S2000 or civic type R. From your comment about 240hp I assume s2000?
