    TRUNIONS

How do you oil them? I have a grease nipple on mine but it is difficult to get the grease gun to fit. Jonathan ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  3. Gavin, If this was the car up at Bedford Autodrome late November then I can confirm that it looks very tidy. Good luck with your next purchase.... 😬 😬 Jonathan. ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  4. Ok, so anyone interested in a bulk buy? "The price of £14.00 per set will come down to £12.50 if 10 are ordered, or £9.50 for 20 sets. These gaskets are 0.9mm thick, with a 33mm aperture (to cope with port modifications) and should last the life of the engine regardless of how many times they are removed & refitted. If a different aperture diameter is needed it's no problem, just a couple of days for delivery." If there is interest then I will post in Chit Chat. Jonathan. ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️

  6. Roger, I would be very interested in seeing some pictures. Can you post them or send a link via e-mail. is it weld on? and what are the chances of remanufacturing one? Cheers, Jonathan ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  7. Excellent work Norman. The only question is, did you put on less than 11kgs over Christmas 😬 😬 😬 Jonathan ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  8. I have contacted Ferriday to see if they are interested in a group buy discount 😬. I'll post the reply here once I know. Jonathan. ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  9. Steve, Just did a seach for xflow gaskets and have seen a copper set of cnc produced gaskets for £14, got be ad cheaper alternative to the 7 workshop ones at £25. link is below: http://ferriday.co.uk/cnc/production.html I might see if they would offer a bulk buy if other x-flow owners are up for it. Gavin, I was expecting this, just need to raise the finance for the Raceco Santa never delivered. 10. Running an 1800 RK crossflow, 5 speed with 4-1 manifold and it runs in town at 30 in 4th or 5th no problems, pulls strong in gear and flies at over 4500 rpm. I doubt if you will notice and loss of tractability (it is a very light weight car) and the kick you get as the power comes in more than makes up for it. 😬 Go for it *thumbup* Jonathan ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  11. Mainly at low revs, but also mid too. I have recently noticed that it has "stalled" when flooring the throttle, basically engine dies for a fraction of a second when excellerating hard. Possibly the leaking gasket, but I think a tune up is needed soon. Next question is before or after the new silencer Jon ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  12. Cheers Steve, Not sure I am running lean but will get the car over to RGS for a rolling road session in the spring. Thanks for the info on the gasket sets. I'll invest in a set, whilst the manifold is off I might as well "match" the gaskets to the manifold. I'll let you know how I get on. Cheers, Jonathan ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  13. 1800 RK crossflow. Looks like the exhaust gasket is blowing on cylinders 2 & 3. Questions: 1: will this cause the excessive amount of bangs and pops I get on over run? 2: I get the occasional spit back through the carbs, is this a side affect or is it a symptom of the timing being out? 3: Replacing the gasket, is it just a case of buying the correct replacment, lossening off the Hex Bolts, removing bolts from 2 & 3 and fitting the gasket and bolting back up? Anyone offer advice? Thanks in advance. Jonathan ----------------------------------- 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! ☹️
  14. Unibond, followed by a coat of floor paint thinned with white spirit, then 2 coats of full strength paint. Worked for me. Jon. 1db too loud ! ☹️ Bastxxd Santa never delivered the Raceco!!!! [%P]
  15. Toyota 4AGE 20v seems to be popular with the Fury/Striker guys at the moment. Including box, TBs managment etc a secondhand one is about £2k. Good luck. Jonathan 1db too loud ! ☹️ Now seeking a Raceco from Santa
  16. I think RAW the guys selling the Stryker are a good source for an adaptor plate to a type9. Not sure of the web address though. Jonathan
  17. Red Chilli Sausilitos... not to bad for a beginer shoe. If anyone knows a wall near Northants I'd be up for a climb. I have heard that Warwick is good and it is not too far, is it worth the trip? Can you recycle your old track tyres and re-tread your shoes ?? 18. It is a 12V system with a transformer included (US pin though) for static applications. Will make sure I get the PAL system. I will also buy a battery pack, as I do not want to risk the over voltage of the cars supply. $70 + tax seems to be a good price for it (especially with current exchange rate of ~2:1) and it has Audio. If it works out then I will do a bulk buy in Feb next year when I am next over ;). Jon. 1db too loud ! ☹️ Now seeking a Raceco from Santa
  19. Thanks, they sell both NTSC (Never Twice Same Colour) and Pal ones. Cheers, Jonathan 1db too loud ! ☹️ Now seeking a Raceco from Santa
  20. Guys, please ponit me in the right direction and i appologise if this has been covered else where but..... I have just been to an electrical store here in the US and they have Swann Bullet Cams for $70 including audio (plus Tax). This seems a good deal and I am thinking of bringing one back with me. The question is, how do i connect it to my sony DV Cam corder. The sockets look far to big to fit, is there a kit for fitting or should I look for a connector out here? I fly back on Friday am so would appreciate a fast response. P.S on the way back from the store I saw a guy in a Yellow, Duratec, wide track with prisoner wheels. English, looking for the CHiP office to register it. 1db too loud ! ☹️ Now seeking a Raceco from Santa

  23. James, would this convert the rear hubs to Ford PCD ? I believe the current ones are Triumph aren't they. Jonathan 1db too loud ! ☹️ Now seeking a Raceco from Santa
  24. You will need to drill the side screen. Get a "sharp" 6mm drill for this as mine got blunted last weekend when I fitted mine 🙆🏻 ☹️. You will feel a metal frame just below the window, site the 1st hole about 15 - 20 cm from the front edge. Someone one here must have one or both, and they are reversable so fit either door.
