Hi Everyone, I have decided to invest in a roller shutter door to replace my existing double width "up and over" unit. My main reasons for this investment are heat insulation and draught exclusion. There seems to be a very large range of doors available, both horizontal and vertical and I wondered if anyone on here who had been through the same thought process recently would be willing to share their experience, manufacturer, material, painting/powder coating, type etc All responses appreciated. I have applied a red garage floor paint to my two garage floors, using the same method of preparation, i. e. brushing to remove dust, scrubbing with warm water and detergent followed by a cold water rinse. After allowing a couple of days to dry, I have applied two coats of the garage floor paint as per the manufacturer's instructions. One garage is very successful with all the paint being in good condition whilst the other, in one area only, the paint has peeled or flaked off. Neither garage floor has been heavily contaminated with oil. I am looking to try to re-coat the affected area but before doing this I would appreciate any advice on preparation, choice of paint etc. that may be available. Thanks in advance!
