  1. I just wanted to say thanks to Simon and James and the team for organising the fantastic track day at Anglesey yesterday. It was great having a sunny day after so much rain over the past few weeks. The circuit was brilliant as always and I think that driving standards were pretty good throughout the day with very few stoppages. I Hope everyone got home safely
  2. Thanks again to the organisers for a great day at Oulton Park, shame the weather wasnt the full sunshine that we have come to expect. I noticed a few people taking photos around the circuit and wondered if any were available?

    Croft Track Day

I really enjoyed the club track day at Croft, thanks to Simon for doing all the hard work organising it. I have posted a bit of video on Youtube - Hopefully the link below will work Not my finest work especially at Sunny
  4. Thanks to all the organisers of the club track day at Castle Combe on Monday. Had a brilliant day and think there was only one red flag and no crashes. Thanks also to the instructors who kept going despite the immense heat
  5. Hello James, I have hopefully now posted some pictures in the original post showing one of them. Looking at the buckle there is a slot at the bottom for the crutch strap but I have not got them and never used them with these. It appears that the same tag for the lap strap engages in the bottom connection. The instructions from in the box mention a crotch strap too. Just looking at their web site it implies that they have an optional crutch strap facility: https://www.schroth.com/en/racing/racing/details/show/profi-ii-asm-flexi-belt/
  6. I have a pair of Schroth Caterham II ASM Harness for sale. 4 point to suit Caterham both left and right sides I briefly used these in my previous car but they have not had a great deal of use and look like new still in their boxes (one torn). The FIA dates have expired in 2021 P/N 91184-0 for left P/N 91185-0 for right These are black belts with yellow lettering These are currently £289 per side on Demon Tweaks I'm after £200 for the pair of them I'm based near Alton in Hampshire
  7. Having seen some other videos from our club track day at Donington I thought I would risk posting one of mine. I was very luck to get two sessions with Charles instructing me as it was my first time at Donington. Unfortunately our comms link didn't work so that is my excuse for not doing exactly what he said. Here is my example of "all the gear, no idea" Many thanks again to Simon, James and co for organising the club track days for us.
  8. Can anyone recommend a reasonable hotel close to Donington with trailer parking space?

    Snetterton

Just wondering if there were any photos from Snetterton?

    Snetterton

Thanks again to Simon and the team for a fantastic track day at Snetterton yesterday. I had a brilliant day and managed to mostly keep my car on the track despite the heavy showers and ZZR tyres. Really good group in garage 21 - 22 and enjoyed your company between the sessions. Looking really forward to Angelsey now.
  11. Yes, I have used my 620R with the rear exhaust there a few times. I have had one black flag which was for triggering the meter through Madgwick soa fter the warning I just took it in a higher gear
  12. I have a track day at Mallory Park and was wondering if anyone could recommend somewhere to stay. I need space to park my tow car and trailer, so with my lack of trailer reversing capabilities it needs to have a big car park!
  13. Thanks to Dave and Simon for organising such a brilliant day. I had a fantastic time but must apologise for the yellow flag I caused when my talent ran out at Charlies. Also thanks to Marvin for showing me that it's not all about horsepower, I obviously need slicks next plus some driving lessons. Hopefully everyone got home safe. See you next year.
  14. I too understand the ban on lap timers but in reality lots of people are just taking this information from their onboard videos, so in reality it's a pointless ban. I have just purchased a second hand Vbox system for my car and I'm wondering if I will need to cover or disconect the oled display.
  15. Thanks to all for a brilliant day but next time could you please turn the temperature down a bit. I think we only had one red flag in our sessions which is amazing for a circuit like Snetterton, really looking forward to Angelsey in a few weeks.
  16. I would just like to add my thanks to all the organsiers too for their hard work. I had a brilliant day and really enjoyed myself. I don't think there was a single red flag which is amazing. Looking forward to the next one!
  17. The speed sensor was just disconnected at the plug by the right rear wheel, however the fuses continued to consistently blow following this and all the instruments remained off. I think that fuse supplies all the instrument power including the speed sensor so the wiring goes everywhere. CC suggested to me that it could have been a short within the instrument power plug. I need to use the car and see if it fails again, at least I know that unplugging the instruments may get me going again.
  18. My car is back running again but I don't really know what caused the issue. I think we have ruled out the speed sensor because even with this unplugged it continued to blow the instrument fuse. Once the instruments were unplugged then the car started and worked fine albeit without any instruments. Strangely when reconnected everything continued to work and the fault has gone away. The instruments were disconnected at the large plug adjacent to the fuse box under the dash. Slightly concerned that the original fuse that blew was a 20a when the wiring diagram calls for a 7.5a fuse in that location. Currently using a 10a just now.
  19. Apologies to everyone for causing the red flag in the penultimate session, my car suffered an electrical failure and I had to be towed in. I hope you didn't miss too much track time. Hopefully see some of you at Cadwell if I manage to get the car fixed in time. Even with 620R power I couldn't keep up with L7FST so I will need to invest in some tuition! Thanks to James and co for organising a fantastic day.
  20. I passed on my Buell going the other way on the lane to Farringdon, looking good in the sunshine
  21. It initially looks like it is a short in the wiring to the rear wheel speed sensor.
  22. The car has not been used in the wet recently. The instruments are standard 620R so no stack cash etc, just gauges and digital gear indicator. The Speedo also remains stuck at the speed when it failed
  23. My 620R broke down at Brands Hatch today, apologies if this impacted you. Anyway, the car is blowing a 20a fuse which seems to power the fuel pump etc. Tried disconnecting the wheel speed sensor but didn't make any difference. Would be grateful for any ideas? The car starts for a couple of seconds so the immobilizer and starter circuits seem ok. No power to any of the instruments at any time.
  24. I ordered the RDX relay to avoid any issues but when I came to replace the front indicators for JAL units they stopped working. I did some basic fault finding like adding additional earths but it felt like there just wasn't enough load to make them flash. in the end Doug swapped out my RDX for a different relay which works fine.
  25. I thought we already had this facility ........ It's called a brain. Don't you just ignore the posts you don't like / don't agree with / can't understand?
