    CSR Oil check

Mine never appeared to use any oil even after track days I tried all the methods for checking the oil level and found that the cold method worked best for me. I would start the car from cold and run it for a few minutes then stop and check the oil level. I found the over fill method leaked all over the underside of the car

    RON95 or RON98

In the Caterham manual only the 620 is down as requiring 98 ron all the rest say 95. Has anyone tried a 620 on 95?
  6. White with black cage pulled out after me near Abinger. Sounded beautiful as you accelerated even with my earplugs in. I waved at you from red Ducati.

  10. I want to protect my rear arches from stones flung off the tyres. I saw someone had stuck self adhesive foam under their arches and this seems like a good idea. Can anyone tell me what foam works best and any other tips for doing it.

    Tracker

I have considered looking for a different insurance provider but I like the deal I have which includes track day cover. The tracker does seem daft as the car will have a battery isolator switch fitted.

    Tracker

My insurance company have told me that they will require a tracker fitted to my 620R. Does anyone have a recommendation for this. I need to get it fitted before I take delivery of the car from Caterham next year.
  13. Just about to sell my previous mobile and wondered if anyone here wanted it first. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F ZKEBTU) purchased 21st Oct 2014 Unlocked phone so can be used on any network - purchased SIM free Comes with original box and charger Samsung wireless charging pad and charger Samsung genuine spare battery in charger case Has original back and used S-view wireless charging flip cover I can get £192 for it from one of the online recyclers so I'm happy to accept the same from anyone on here.
  14. I was investigating shortening my 4 point seatbelts as they are slightly too long. Caterham advised me to move the lap straps to the rear anchor points but I'm not sure exactly what they mean. Currently mine are bolted into the sides of the car, the one on the drivers side being exactly opposite the exhaust mounting bracket. I looked for mounting points further back and there are two holes on some framework right at the rear bulkhead but these are just holes through some bar rather than tapped threaded holes. They would also twist the straps through 90 so I'm not sure if these are what Caterham were suggesting to use? The car is a 2007 CSR260 and it has Tillet seats
  15. Can anyone tell me what size the grommets are for the windscreen heating wires where they come through the scuttle. Mine have rotted away.
  16. I would also like a set of these if they are available.

    Brands 29th of July

Simon, As an owner of what probably constitutes a powerful 7 I have a comment on this. I think it is sometimes difficult to know if you are really holding a car up especially when in a group of cars. I had a few instances where cars didn't appear to be gaining on me until I got caught in traffic and then we all bunched up and it took a while to get past. Some people appear happy to dive down the inside into bends to get past but personally I try and wait for a straight. I also found a few times when I did let cars past me that I was then stuck behind them especially at the end of the straights. I only found one car that repeatedly baulked me for several laps at a time in two different sessions. I'm relaxed about it though as I had a great time and we are not racing, I hope he enjoyed his day as much as I did. Generally I though people were very kind and thoughtful often pulling over and slowing to let cars past. It was abrilliant day and I would like to thank the organisers.

    Samsung Galaxy S4

It is just over a year old and I bought it SIM free so it is unlocked. It is a UK handset so it runs the UK CSC
  21. I'm selling a Samsung Galaxy S4 phone GT-I9505. It is in the original box with the items it shipped with, charger, cable, unused headset, handbook. It comes with: 2 x spare batteries, plus the original 1 x Samsung battery charger case Samsung S-view cover Wireless charging coil (not the charger though) It has a bit of the silver screen bezel rubbed off at the top left and some very minute scratches on the screen, which I thought was a speck of dirt but they don't polish out. I'm after £175 for the lot
  22. I think this is the guard that fits behind the sump and guards the bellhousing as there is a step. I was interested in this for my CSR but it was no use.
  23. I should have been there too but I'm stuck in the Gulf of Mexico working instead ☹️
  24. They are not supposed to tell you where they are but I think one is on the pit wall on the straight and the other on the hill up to Druids. Both places where you are normally on full power. After being black flagged I managed to repack my silencer and was kindly allowed back on track, I started lifting at both those locations and also keeping to the outside of the track.
  25. From my experience at Brands it is fairly easy to pass the static test, it's the drive by that caused me the problems.
