  1. Interesting writeup on your CSR. I sold mine a while back and replaced it with a 620R. I had mine re-mapped by the Two Steves and although improved, it never really got rid of the low speed kangarooing. Do you have the additional diff support brackets fitted? I don't think they were installed as standard.
  2. I have the factory Caterham LED headlights on my car. I can't say they are that much better than the H4 type I had on my previous 7 so probably a waste of money in hindsight. If I was ordering the car again I don't think I would spend the extra money.
  3. Thanks very much to all the organisers for a fantastic day, really enjoyed myself. Fantastic ending with a demo run in Richard's car which further underlined how much faster you can go without 620R power.

    Caterham boot

I thought it was so that we had something in common with Morgan owners?
  5. Have you considered taking the car to the Two Steves and getting them to remap it on their rolling road? I would have thought they would also be able to cure your issues. I had my CSR260 done by them and it made quite a difference to the drivability of the car.
  6. The options you choose really depend on your overall budget and personal preference. I went nuts on mine and ticked just about everything except the shift lights and painted grille. You can also ask for the LED lights which adds another £800 (this includes rear bulbs too) half doors £300, tonneau £250, heater £300, fire extinguisher £295, battery switch £185 Then there is the £750 for pearlescent paint, £295 for decal pack Probably want to consider a half hood and shower cap too plus another set of wheels and tyres so you can use the ZZR's on track and have ZZS's on the road. PPG paintguard adds up to about £575 if you have all of it.
  7. Agree with comments above and thanks posted in the other thread. Does anyone have links to the photos yet?
  8. Had a fantastic day so thanks to the organisers for their hard work in making the event happen. IMHO the sessions worked really well and made sure there was plenty of space on track. It was good to have the lunch time briefing and vote on the afternoon format options, democracy in action.
  9. Just looking at fitting the track cap and bellows to my 620R and wondering if I have done it correctly. I assume I just remove the standard lid, disconnect the two terminals and then fit the new one. Assuming that the bellows extend down into the brake fluid and then the cap screws on top? Will I get some sort of warning light on my dash now I have the wires disconnected?
  10. I am 6'2" and struggle to fit in my S3 620R. I have lowered floors but my left knee is generally jammed against the key and my head is close to the cage bars. I'm around 86kg so don't need an SV for the extra width. I'm slightly confused as the 620R I tried in the showroom seemed to fit me OK and I have a much slimmer wallet now. I am in the process of getting a bag seat made for mine which I reckon will give me the extra space that I need.

    Seat belts mounts

On my old (2007) CSR260 there were definitely two holes for the seatbelt anchor point about a couple of inches apart if I remember correctly. I moved mine to the rear position to try and get the lap strap tighter. I wouldn't describe myself as anorexic but I have always struggled to get the lap strap tight enough. In my 620R I have it as tight as it will go and it could still be a bit tighter.

    CSR 260 MOT

My CSR260 was always emmissions tested during the MOT. Initially it passed fine but after I had it re-mapped by the Two Steves it was a bit of a struggle to get through. It generally had to get very hot and required additional sealing around the end of the exhaust pipe. Probably best to find a Caterham friendly tester
  13. Just phone up CC parts department as they managed to send the connector kit to me even when they were showing it as out of stock.
  14. I had a CSR260 with six speed box and found it very low geared for road use. I was looking into changing the diff but sold it and got a 620R instead as I wanted a more track focused car anyway. I use aeroscreen for track days and it does make an amazing difference to the car. It is probably the most cost effective performance upgrade I have made. The 620R does feel a bit faster than the CSR but not massively so. I would not describe it as OMG fast like a bike can feel. The sequential box is great though and no problem on the road despite what some will say.
  15. The Silverstone one seems quite out of date
  16. Thanks to all the organisers for a fantastic day. Does anyone know if the photographs are available to buy online?
  17. I thought it was me but now I have checks my route I don't think it was.

    Rear light grommets

For info, some 28mm x 5mm ones for a VW starter cable from Ebay seem to fit.

    Rear light grommets

Sadly none of the above appear to stock them
  20. Anyone know where I can purchase a few grommets like the ones that fit under the rear wheel arch for the rear light cables. I think they are about 28mm hole with about a 5mm cable hole, can't seem to find them anywhere.
  21. Can I order a set of these please if they are available. Preferably the superlight ones but happy to have the heavy ones too.
  22. The washer bottle is certainly in the boot on my new 620R. It sits beside the fuel filler
  23. When Redline had my car in he told me that it was a racing car and shouldn't have carpets!

    Lowered floors

I got redline to do mine on my old CSR. They fitted it while I waited. I only needed the passenger side doing as it had one on the drivers side. Probably worth remembering to grease the propshaft couplings when you have the floor apart as otherwise there is no access to them.
  25. The best thing I did to mine was replacing the heated screen spade terminals with tiny gold push connections that easily fitted through the grommets in the scuttle. Before I did that pushing the wires through was the longest part of the job.
