Hello All I'm having issue with heat built up under the bonnet of my 21. I've already connected an PC to the Emerald K3 and I know after 30mn of driving the temp rises to about 40 degrees C I want to make some experiment with air flow and I was wandring if some new where I could buy stick on thermometres rated from 20 to 60 or more. Hello All Could I have a quick show of hand, of who had a faulty low oil pressure switch? Mine is behaving strangely, I can have a long spirited drive a the low oil pressure light would not flicker. Stop the car for 5 minutes and the light would turn off. Meanwhile the oil pressure gauge reads a steady 4 bar when on the move and about 2 at idle. Jack

Hi Giles Thank you for your posting I think I may have found the source of this misfire. It seems its related to the throttle pedal position therefore the TPS. Oily is sending one to me so hopefully that will cure it The engine is a VVC so I don't have a dizzy. It's a version on the VVC-R 😬 which is a rare beast. Jack

Hello all After passing it's MOT, my 21 has developped a mis-fire it only happen underload and often below 2000RPM The engine is a EU2 VVC on roller barrels and Emerald It seems I'm loosing all power for a brief moment (RPM drop suddenly) then everything is ok. I've noticed a slight crack in the cam position sensor which will be changed but i doubt it will cure it. I'm going to check the obvious, earth issue, battery condition, ECU connection, TPS at the weekend. Anything else I should check? Cheers Jack

At idle is was showing 4bar ( electrical gauge) and hot 2 bar I know I have plenty of oil because when taking the car for a run the catch tank is filling up with oil I have the Think Auto unit which I want to check Jack

I've put nearly 7litre of the oily stuff so there is some oil inside the engine therefore I presume it the switch which is playing up abit. I just like my piece of mind. Jack PS: the light was on and flickering then stayed on

Its a switch connected to a light to tell me there is a problem with the oil pressure. The light was constantly on so I think it is set to low. Or I have a major issue with the lubricating system... Jack

Hello All I need to check my oil pressure switch, is it just a question a fitting an air line to it at the value I want it to work, connect a multi metre, and bob is my mum's brother? For a K series what should be the value? Cheers Jack

I have some CC roller barrels, which I don't think has any valve. I do remember having flow from that pipe the first time I've installed the throttle bodies. Jack
