  1. Got the mail, and about to reply. I think you can ignore the "didn't send" messages, they seem to get through!
  2. Excellent quality. All fitted, and looking great. Horrid heavy rubber blocks now in the dustbin. Thanks for your time and effort in organising this. AB
  3. Blue Graphite Pearl, 63K miles. Full VW service history. Good condition - some corrosion on alloys, a few small marks on the paint, but good for 10 years old. £3250. Available mid-sept when the new Up! arrives. Save me from the miserable trade in offered by VW dealer. Edit to add: one owner from new. 4 near new tyres. Never raced or tracked ;-) Can send pics. Located in Claygate, Surrey, Sold.
  4. I would like to take it if still available. Will message Danny.
  5. A friend has 2 adult and 2 child tickets available for Friday 26th August. He will take £50pp for the adults, and £10pp for the childrens, or is open to "sensible offers". Message me and I will put you in touch. AB
  6. I would think low entry is down to geography. Its a challenging hill, and a well organised friendly event in my experience.
  7. Another great day at Llys Vegas, I really missed not going last year. Thanks to Robj and everyone else who helped rapidly put my car back together after I brushed one of the corner markers
  8. Hi Clive - you were in the "to" list in the entry confirmation email I got a while back. Check ypur spam folder maybe?
  9. Yes please, in black, upfront payment is fine.
  10. A land rover might have been more appropriate for some of the alternative routes I tried
  11. I just use the demon tweeks stuff held with tie wraps on my SLR cage and its fine. I had some of the FIA approved padding previously, but its alot harder and only suitable for use with a helmet, so I take the same compromise as Chris as I don't normally drive on the road with a lid on. The open profile longacre padding looks better as you can tape it on. The demon tweeks stuff rotates unless you pull the tie wraps very tight, which deforms it.
  12. I would have written off the cheap chair and wonky pump to avoid further p1ss taking, but it was a really nice pressure gauge
  13. did anyone pick up a blue chair, footpump and a pressure gauge? Left in central paddock area as "last minute" bits to pick up...
  14. Really not sure about Loton meters. New Powerspeed on 1.8K. 5000 rpm. On Saturday I was 101 dB (early morning, f-cold). On Sunday I was 93 dB (mid-morning I think, not so cold)

    Loton Thanks

Thanks to Rob for getting my spare tow car key delivered to me. Thanks to others for looking and also the endless helpful comments regarding key loss.
  16. Do Loton Park still ask for an extra number on the top on the nosecone?
  17. I use a dogcam sport small rollbar mount. Metal, rigid, and scrutineers are happy with it. Remembering to switch the camera on is my main issue...
  18. Only platinum entrants get the go-faster code emailed to them...
  19. anyone heading North with some boot space in the next few weeks?

    Helmets

I discussed with GPR and Demon Tweeks at Autosport show. Snell SA2010 and 2015 both valid until 2023. After that they think MSA will use the FIA standards, or something will change. So they said no point waiting for a SA2015 helmet. And in 2023 it would be time for a new lid anyway. But of course, they had alot of SA2010 helmets to shift... Very happy with the Bell I got from GPR and their service. After trying on many helmets (it was a close thing with the simpson "stig" helmet, but the p1ss taking would have been too much) seems I have exactly same size and shape of head as Mr Calvert, which is a worry.
