  1. Donation made. Includes 1st class courier delivery plus I want it polishing. You are welcome to try and win it back next year. AB
  2. Good to meet you both. "Those tyres...." 😬 AB
  3. Elie - Malcolm did try getting his Caterhm up to the magic 88 mph once, but bottled out at 55. Background: a small entry at this sprint event meant two classes were merged. One class (me) ran on budget list 1A road tyres. The other class (Englishidiotinwales Malcolm Hickey) ran on super soft near slick racing Kumho tyres. He beat me by a fraction of a second. As this trophy is rightfully mine as I was clearly the better driver on the day he should return it to me. He's enjoyed it for long enough now. So, I will give £10 to Surrey Air Ambluance here for its safe return to my trophy cabinet. AB
  4. Mine did that once on a track day when I accidentally overfilled the oil slightly. Just drain a bit out through the apollo drain plug. Instant cure for me and no long term damage done. I don't have a catch tank (I think most EU3 K's don't have one). AB
  5. You're in the book now as well Chris. AB
  6. *mad* *mad* *mad* *mad* *mad* *mad* *mad* *mad* Two edits on the advert and you still can't get the year right, you daft old fool. Been on the booze since lunchtime? "no competition" 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻 🙆🏻
  7. Congratulations to both! [Did Matt set a good time for the drive up the mountain?]
  8. Ignore the drunken ravings of whoever created "The Hat" alias. And I have my suspicions who it is... "below avergae" indeed 😔 The hat will be staying with me. Unless it rains, and I am forced to use... "THE RAIN HAT" AB
  9. Paul - my apologies. I must've left my phone unlocked on Saturday night, and the kids got hold of it. And the "Safety Recall" I diligently passed on was incorrect. Caterham Cars have amended to say its orange cars rather than 1.6 Superlights that are affected - the problem is a loose nut behind the wheel, and they have video evidence from Harewood. (your threats for revenge will be passed on to the club chairman) "Hill And Track" - a division of Bowlersport engine refresh and mushroom soup generation services.
  10. Another 7'er with a dodgy lower back and happy with tillets here. I have a scruffy slightly-wide-than-a-tillet fibreglass low back seat I used before the tillets which was good. You are welcome to try it (just down the road from you). AB
  11. 2 hours queuing to sign on, an hour sat in the hot sun waiting for P1, and then all forgotten after a minute of mayhem 😳 😬. Great competition and banter in class 2 as ever, plus some closely fought battles in all classes. Looking forward to next year already. If anyone has any publishable anecdotes or photos from the weekend send me a BM as Ray Snots has told me I'm writing up the weekend for Low Flying. (Also looking forward to Caterbrams videos on youtube featuring no-lift rallycross, and mystery marshall)
  12. Potential new Meteor "Paddle" shift system being evaluated?
  13. I thought we didn't say "older" anymore. It's "historically interesting".
  14. I compete in class 2 of the clubs speed championship, and several of us use the older (no longer available) AD08 tyres on 15" wheels as they are a very good "List 1A" (road) tyre. They are as good or better than other List 1A tyres, but thats not saying much - List 1A is for "normal" road tyres. AD08R are supposedly a bit softer, which moves them to "List 1B" where they will be against serious track focussed tyres. AD08s are fine on the road - sidewall is quite stiff though. I'm told they work well on track days when they get some heat in them. I guess AD08Rs will be slightly better. You might find a second set of cheap 13" wheels with best available List 1A or 1B tyres works out cheaper in the long run, plus 16" wheels won't be ideal for sprinting. BUT above all - please do try sprinting, on whatever wheels/tyres, and don't feel you have to spend lots of money up front to be competitive. AB
  15. Well done to Paul, with an excellent last run, and to all the other class winners. I just needed another two runs, as my strategy was for 6 Really enjoyed Aintree, well worth the trip. AB
  16. I'm in Claygate, near Esher. Where abouts are you Chris? AB
  17. I can take from Aintree down to Surrey next weekend. Any use? AB
  18. others who also have a long way to travel want to get as much track time as possible to make all the traveling worthwhile. This I'm entered for the first time as I heard there are generally alot of runs, and its friendly and well organised. That and tracks without too many corners tend to suit me 😬. 6 sounds good to me. AB
  19. Sinon, I think you may have just brushed one of the cones on the second chicane on saturday.
  20. Good fun, and amazing that Saturday dried out. One or two competitors needed extra drying out on Sunday morning I think... The BowlerSport Mk 3b is running well. Just need a few driver adjustments. Well done to Willoughby Jr - another dominant performance. I hope he gets some more drives outside class 2 as he rather spoiled the points for the rest of us! My T2 here (comments are disabled Ray.) AB
  21. Composite "tuck inside" half doors @ 50% discount? 😬 AB
  22. The link to resuts is not working for me - anyone got details of last years times? (I seem to recall I didn't win, and someone stole my only class record )
  23. Needs to be careful he doesn't incure a 1 second penalty for knocking over a cone. [i'll get my coat]
