  1. Woolies here. I made the mirror brackets from some sheet aluminium
  2. AFAIK, no. I bought a pair of Brooklands screens and screwed the brackets through the scuttle into the chassis hoop that runs across the top/behind the intrument panel. Careful measuring to mark the centreline of the hoop is required 😬 Photo here
  3. .pdf engine manual on its way
  4. Front lower wishbone joint. Jack the wheel off the ground then use your hands or a lever to pull up on the wheel to check. 7. The number font is GENUINE. I slightly stretched it horizontally, changed the spacing a bit them leaned it over - rather than use the sizing and italic facility. If you don't have appropriate software, e-mail me and I can send you a copy of your required number BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. 9. New Duratec R sticker here If anyone would like a copy of the graphic file to get there own made, just e-mail me along with any modifications required. Near Oxford Airport on Monday. Dark blue. Driver was wearing what looked like a crash helmet modelled on a pith helmet - had a narrow chord Perspex wraparound visor at the front - very in keeping with the car. The exhaust note when he pulled away from the junction stirred the soul BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. 12. Just been quoted £25 + VAT for two stickers as above A bit steep, but as it's a one-off I guessed it wouldn't be cheap. 13. I'd be interested in some too. I've made some drawings which I can send to you if you know where to get some made Andy. 17. I use a Pipercross PX600, P/N C604D here on my 2.0L in an SV. I bought it from Raceline. The aluminium backplate requires the TB holes to be cut. I don't think the 2.0L and 2.3L vary in this dimension. I have recently replaced the flat alu backplate with a fibreglass recessed backplate from Jenvey here P/N ABB2/50. This gives an additional 50mm clearance between the ends of the 90mm trumpets and the inside of the filter foam. You need to cut a hole in the bonnet with either backplate. I started with a neat contoured hole but have now opened-up the hole to give about 10mm clearance all round. Nearly the entire filter foam is now exposed outside the bonnet. I made the bonnet cut out with a nibbler attachment to my electric drill. It gives a very neat hole, which I then finished off with some rubber strip BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. 19. The thread in the alloy thing is 3/8 BSP. BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
  20. I'm talking diagnostics. No techy brain stuff involved. If you get the dreaded click, the first item in the chain to eliminate is the battery. As you can't load it with the starter, turn on all the lights and the heated windscreen if you have one: more than 9V - battery not the problem, on to the next item: relay, wires, connertors, solenoid, starter motor. In this scenario, off-load voltage tells nothing BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. 21. Haven't a clue. I fitted the in-pipe device so I could use a mechanical oil temp gauge from Think that has a 3/8 BSP male connection. 3/8 BSP is surprisingly large. If you wanted to fit an electrical transducer you will probably require an adaptor. BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
  22. Without trying to belabour the point, 9.4V while cranking is an indication that the battery is doing its stuff. BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
  23. Got the catch tank from Think. It's the 1 litre size, but if were buying another I'd go for the 2 litre. Not because the small one overflows with oil, but the vent to atmosphere through the cap carried a lot of oil mist with it - messy. Are you saying that Think no longer sell some items of the "Kit" of parts listed in 7FAQ for the mechanical oil pressure sender? The line from the oil filter housing to the 'T' piece is the same type of hose as that used on the front brakes. 24. Being an SV and there being quite a nice gap between the top of the radiator and the nosecone, the air going to the air filter was only just above ambient when driving. I put a temp probe into the airbox and another sensing OAT and there was only 3 degrees C difference - negligable I fitted a temporary baffle to prevent any air exiting the radiator getting to the filter and it didn't make any difference to the temperature inside the airbox. BRG Brooklands SV 2.0L Ammo Duratec 😬 It seems that perfection is achieved not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing more to take away. (Antoine de Saint-Exupery)
  25. Yup 😬 Only pics I have - didn't remember how crowded the engine compartment was with the K-Series boat anchor 😬 here here here Didn't run an oil cooler - didn't find any need. The aluminium item in the return line to the tank is for a mechanical oil temperature transducer - available from Think Automotive. The oil pressure was sensed at the oil filter housing. Again the mechanical set-up from Think, as itemised in 7FAQ. I had both of the tanktop breathers going to a catch tank.
