  1. Hi Phillip The bracket on my 2005 imperial chassis is in front of the cross member. I had the floor fitted by Arch.
  2. Marcus The GPS in most phones updates at 1hz, i.e once per second which is fine for Sat Nav but the car travels a long way in a second and you won't get enough accuracy to compare laps. The blue tooth gps receivers work at 10hz giving an update every tenth of a second. Can't help on the OBD i'm afraid. Graham
  3. Hi Jon I have been using RaceChrono for a couple of seasons on an Android tablet linked to bluetooth gps receiver. If you already have a tablet or an android phone this is quite a low cost solution. The data is immediately available to view on the tablet at the end of a run without having upload to a laptop. You can overlay runs and plot the time difference at all point in the run. The pro version let's you sync the data with video. You can also set a reference lap which could be your fastest run from a previous season and overlay this on the current event. Below are some pictures of the data, from Gurston this year.
  4. About 16 of us on the Paul Marriott Memorial Blat. We could hear the Ferrari's.
  5. Final Instructions have now been sent out to all participants by email.
  6. Thanks Dave, great photos
  7. If the primary is touching the connector you can rotate the back plate on the alternator through 135 degrees. I melted the plug on mine before i noticed it was touching.
  8. Thanks Dan, your help will be most welcome. We will be putting out a request for volunteers soon.
  9. Hi Philip Got your email and i have replied. You have a place. Graham
  10. And I should have included this to save people asking...... Safety requirements are the same as for club track days - Your car will need to have a an FIA or track day roll bar and you will need a helmet. Graham
  11. Anybody else? We need a few more to make it viable. A very good value day to get yourself dialled in for the season.
  12. I am organising a test day at Blyton on April 6th....this is one of the few dates still available. 20 cars are needed to fill the day and as in previous years up to 4 cars will be allowed on track at once. This will give you more than enough track time particularly if you are practising sprint runs. The cost will be £90 per car. I am not sure which layout is being used for this year's sprint but we will be able to choose to use different layouts before and after lunch if needed. If you want to participate please post here or send a private message. Thanks Graham Bookings so far: Andy Mckay Roger Legg John Clarke Richard Abraham Jonathan Heyes John Bransfield Tony Smith Phil Cooke Paul Collins Roger Cumming Ivan Pullen Tony Hillman Louis Feakes Rhauri Moncrieff Robert Myers Grahame Wardall Adam Keen Philip Matchwick Jeff Smith
  13. Hi Andy. Not sure what went wrong, here are the pictures...
  14. 5 wheels in good condition with no kerbing and only slight bubbling to the powder coating round stud holes. 4 have Yokohama Advan AD08 tyres with about 4mm tread remaining. The tyres are 5 years old. Collect from Milton Keynes area. £400 Pictures here
  15. Hope it goes well Matt........but class 2 will be a bit worried how much faster you will be when you can change gear properly
  16. I have just done this and It is not that difficult. Richard Price set me along this path. First you have to establish if you have a post 2005 speedo where you can set the number of pulses per mile. To check this hold the odometer button in while you turn on the ignition. You should see a number displayed which is the number of pulses per mile. After 3 seconds the leftmost digit will start flashing. If this happens you have a speedo where you can set the pulses per mile. The instructions here will apply to calibrate the speedo for the new sensor. Then I used a proximity sensor which picks up from the front brake disc bolts, so the speedo will see 4 pulses for every revolution of the wheel. You will need to make a bracket to fit to the steering arm bolt. This is the sensor I used. The sensor has 3 wires: Sensor black connects to blue/red on the car (signal), sensor brown connects to green on tha car (+ve) and sensor blue needs to be earthed somewhere on the chassis. The sensor has flashing LED's to show that it is functioning and the gap is correct to the disc bolts. The reason I did this was to remove the gearbox sensor which always leaked oil.
  17. This is from a 6 speed gearbox but I believe it will fit any type 9 5 speed as well. I will also include the brass top hat and circlip. £40 plus postage or collect from Milton Keynes area.
