  1. I am sure everybody will join me in thanking Chris for doing such a fantastic job over the last few years. He has left very big boots to fill and that's why there are 3 of us! I hope we can continue to make the speed championship thrive when it eventually starts again. Hopefully we can have a few events towards the end of the season. Graham (New comp sec)
  2. Just had a last minute drop out. Anybody else want to join us?
  3. One place left now......anybody else want to get some pre season testing? Graham
  4. Yes Rob, I think we can make a space for you. Are you making a comeback? You are on the list and I will email you early March to ask for payment. Did you see the new regs on tyre pressures?
  5. Aled and Charlie There are still a few places at Blyton on April 8th if you want to join us there. Graham
  6. Alan, I will go halves on some class 3 tyres for David.....! Chris you have done a fantastic as Compsec and it really sad that you are leaving that position. I am sure you won't be able to keep away. Looking forward to seeing you and Matt during this season.
  7. Thanks Phil. The list is looking very small, only 7 of us confirmed so far. If you are thinking of joining please let me know as soon as possible as I really need to confirm the booking by the end of next week. If we don't get enough I will have to cancel.
  8. I have made a provisional booking with Blyton for a test day on 8th April. The format will as an open pit lane track day with a maximum of 6 cars on track at once. We will have the opportunity to change layouts between eastern an outer at lunch time if we want to. We really need a minimum of 20 cars to make the cost reasonable. They will take a maximum of 25 cars. The cost per car will be £138 if we have 20 participants down to £110.40 if we have 25. This is a great chance to test those winter mods with plenty of running. Please post here if you want to join us. Graham
  9. To access the bolts holding the cage you will need to remove the dampers. The top damper bolt is accessed at the corner of the bulkhead behind the seats. This will allow access the the bolts going up into the cage. On an imperial car these will have thin heads and you need to be careful to use a socket which fully engages. On a metric chassis there is more space and the bolt head is not thinned down. Make sure you get the right FIA bar for your chassis. A metric bar will fit an imperial chassis but not the other way round.
  10. And this is the moment that unusually made me the recipient of yellow trowel... Also thanks to the marshals for sweeping up after me and recovering my front wing which flew off in T1!
  11. Hi Roger I would echo the comments here, not worth spending that sort of money on a 1.6K. Why not put a wanted post in the marketplace section, a 1.8 with a standard head and the cams you already have would be just as good for competing with in class 2. Hope you get something sorted. Graham
  12. Congratulations Clive on winning in a very competitive year in Class 2.
  13. I have cap head bolts securing the front discs and am using a speed sensor picking up on those bolts without any problem. The sensor is positioned on the outside edge of the bolts so that it doesn't pass over the centre of the cap head.
  14. These have been taking up space in my garage for many years.... A pair of live axle top suspension arms and front anti-roll bar. Free for a donation to Race against Dementia.

  16. Not familiar with the EU1 engine but that that cam timing seems extreme for a supersport. Shouldn't it be more like 60/45 thou? Graham
  17. It's yours Roger. I will email you towards the end of February asking for payment. Graham.
  18. Now 1 place available, please post here if you want to join us.
  19. Paul I used Northampton motorsport last year and they did a very thorough job. Definitely recommended. Graham
  20. Tony, you are in already, so the place is still available.
