Nobody has mentioned the lack of windscreen as well as a roof! I certainly got wet on the way to the MOT station - but no where near as wet as I got on the way home, when the rain was torrential! Such dedication Edited by - Gill E on 26 Apr 2012 12:49:32

I'll only need 1straw, thank you - just make sure that it reaches to the very bottom of the bottle - I would not want to be accused of neglecting my duties and leave any of those pesky bubbles to cause harm to any other Club member or their guest.

No Simon, I think you may have made a mistake with the timetable. I think you'll find that the running order is as follows: 7 pm - health and safety inspection of the beverage arrangements 7.30pm - Dinner & Awards 9pm - Perry McCarthy I am taking my H&S role in the Club very seriously and, having done a risk assessment, have decided that you all need protecting from the hazards of attending the Champagne Reception 😬 hick!

Lynn - didn't David Horne and Simon Jenks "arrive and drive" too? The drive home was sooo very long and it was a late night by the time the car and trailer were put away in their respective garages. A thank you from us too to Les Calverts for donor organs. It's such a shame that we ended the season the way we started it - with alternator problems. Congratulations to C H-H for a cracking last run and a fitting end to your season.

Thanks. Chris said something about it on Sunday but I didn't think they did a Lady's award at Wiscombe. It was a lovely surprise when Shaun told me last night - the icing on what was already a great cake - I was very happy to have (1) beaten my Class 5 time set at the very dry and warm event 2 years ago and (2) got another 90+ points. 😬 Can an engine be welded in position? 🥰

There'll be a few of us camping tonight. There's a pub (The Old Habd & Diamond Inn I think) about 1.5 miles away (short drive / long walk) on the same road as the Park in Coedway (depending on which way you come in, you'll come past it).

The Regs just say "the front of the car"! As we've only ever had black numbers, I think we've done across the front of the bonnet - just so long as the timekeeper can see them. Gill

Don't forget that you to display 3 sets of numbers at Loton tomorrow - the usual set on each side of the car PLUS a set on the bonnet! Gill

Class 4 1st Chris HH 60.08 2nd Shaun 61.14 3rd Stuart 61.27 I had to abandon my last run as the light was fading and the timekeepers wanted to go home Hoping to do better next week but think it is more likely to be more of the same .... may be Class 3 would suit me better. Mark - well done you 😶🌫️ I have realised 2 things - firstly I don't have to put my hand back on the steering wheel in between gear changes. Secondly the cement dust should have given me a clue as to the line to take - I should have been following it instead of avoiding it. Now that I've seen how to do it, can I have another go please? 😬
