  1. Does anyone know how much a bare K series block weighs? Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels Edited by - Gareth Harrold on 4 Oct 2006 21:13:14
  2. Mav, it aint scrap, yet. If I can get it over to Regin then he's got first Dibs. You could alway buy my Ported head off me if you like Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  3. I guess it depends on what is broken. The track rod arms are easy to replace with bits from Caterham. Not sure about the actual rack tho. Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  4. RJ, I've sent you a blatmail re the loom Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  5. Thanks for that RJ. I may be in touch regarding the loom. Jono, the reason for the change is that the current engine is using a lot of oil and is more than likely due to piston failure due to the high revs of the Supersport. If I use the complete 160 engine then I'll be selling off the good bit (ported head, 52mm TB etc) but I'm not sure what to do with the bottom end yet. 6. I've looked throught the archives and found a few bits and bobs but would like to find out a little more. *arrowright*can I use my existing 5AS unit and blippers (current engine is EU2)? *arrowright*is it possible to use my lightweight flywheel? *arrowright*The engine comes with a loom (i think) what mods would I need to do to this for caterham install? *arrowright*Whats a spigot bearing??? is it easy to change? Thats it for now.... Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  7. I would say around 18-19psi Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  8. I'm going to CC mids anyway tomorrow so I'll see if they've got some fixed 'runners'. Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  9. As my 1.6K is burning a fair bit of oil at the mo I'm thinking of my options. I'm currently thinking of going for an 1800 bottom end and using my existing head and ECU. My concerns for this are fuelling. My 1.6SS is putting out 150bhp on the MEMS (according to Emerald) so would the ECU cope with the the 1800 bottem end too or would it be pushing it a bit? 10. What is the 'normal' way off fitting a Tillet seat that doesn't have runners fitted? Do you just bolt it to the floor? or do you pack it up a bit so its the same height as the drivers one?
  11. After fitting a ported head to my 1.6 supersport which raised the power by 10bhp which was quite noticable. Most part was down to a hike in torque at 5000rpm tho. Mines a 1.6SS with verniers, 52mm TB, VHPD zorst and lightly ported head. Now at 149bhp and its a nice car to drive 😬 Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  12. Not sure if this is any use to you here Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels

  17. I have but you wanted excellent condition Leathers. Mine aren't ☹️ Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  18. I now have permission to go to Tillets 😬 Looking for a swap until I see a set of Tillets come up for sale. They are out of my '97 roadsport and are in OK condition so wouldn;t suit a new car. Come with headrests. Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  19. Shut it Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  20. I reckon she will be even quicker once we get Tillets 😬 Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels

  23. Steve, you can just unscrew the trackrod from the trackrod end, no need to remove from the upright. Then as you say, slide off old one then slide the new one back on again. Got mine from Caterham but they came with rebuilt kit as I was replacing the track rods. Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
  24. Also on Pistonheads here Gareth Blue and Carbon 6 Speed Supersport with new wheels
