  1. I did this last year, and the seats are still looking good. Here is the thread https://www.lotus7.club/forum/techtalk/leather-s-type-seat-referb
  2. Thats the one I have, never used the stuff before but it works well. Paid about £4 for just the can, and use water as a lube.
  3. We have a aero screen, my wife has long hair and just uses hair bands. Which means that there are always loads of multi coloured bands, in the car and boot (along with hair brushes).
  4. Mine stopped working after I had wing come lose, of course I only found out after I had soldered the wires back together The bulb was ok, and checking with a multimeter I had power and a good earth. So something in the bulb holder it's self had broken and was not making contact with the bulb, I just replaced it in the end.
  5. I cannot offer you any help, but just to say that my year 2000 1.8 VVC has never had to have one. I even had to change the place I normal use this year, and it was not even mentioned
  6. I have one of Richards aero screens a long with his mirrors, and don't have that problem I do have the rubber tubing fitted around the edges.
  7. *A bit chilly at 08:37 this morning, but you did have your hat on and rather large smile on your face. I was going shopping
  8. Thanks for the reply's it is just a normal bulb, it must be a fault in the bulb holder as that is the only thing to try now.
  9. I have just had a set of springs re-powdered, at a local company for £15 each.
  10. After bonding on my front wing after if flew off (not the first time) and soldering the wires back together, the light does not work. Does it matter which wire is the earth, and which is the power ? I have checked with a multimeter and get power to the inside of the fixing, and the earth is good. The only other thing that I can think of, is that the fixing is not connecting to the bulb correctly after its bid to break free ?
  11. These are the ones from my year 2000 car, the cutout is for easy access to the 12v socket.
  12. As odd as it may seem, for light scratches toothpaste works well.
  13. Why don't you try to get local club members to help you build it back up, I bet that anybody who has a kit on order would like to help as well. I has to be worth more as a complete car, and would be easer to sell than 100's of parts. Just a thought.
  14. Found it Jacked it up on the chassis which raised the diff above the tube, and it went straight in. Job done. Thats it for the day. Thanks for all your help
  15. I just give up on this, today Just went to give it another go, and I cannot find the filler plug
  16. I have the axle stands on the tube, I will try them on the chassis and see if it makes any difference. thanks for your help
  17. Sorry but in my frustration I have not explained this very well, I cannot get the plug into the hole either trying from the top or from under the car. The rear tube is in the way, so I am trying just with my fingertips as that is all I can get in there.
  18. Sorry diff filler plug, as I said I have done it before. But can I get it back on this time !!!
  19. After topping the oil I'm my diff I cannot get the bolt back in (I have done this before) no matter what I try from the top or under the car, having a break before I start to hit something
  20. Two plastic number plate bolts for me, never had a problem in 13 years.
  21. Just done this, here is the thread about it. http://www.lotus7.club/forum/techtalk/leather-s-type-seat-referb
