  1. For sale £45 face value. I have a spare ticket for Brian Cox's Christmas Show at Hammersmith Odeon on 1st Dec. It's like The Infinite Monkey Cage but with added music. An evening of live Comedy, Music and Science with astronauts, comedians and special guests. There is usually a big name to close the show. This has recently been The Cure, Duran Duran and New Order. It's a great night and we have great seats, anyone interested ?

Black, orange stripe, tonight coastbound on the A2/M2. Any one here ? Big black Volvo trying to keep up.
  3. Might be interested in the tunnel bag, if going separately, which one is it ?
  4. OK, thanks, I'll give bilt hamber a go. Medium or soft for paintwork that is still in pretty good nick ?
  5. Has anyone used the clay bar kit from All Shine ? https://www.amazon.co.uk/All-Shine-Detail-Buffing-Towels/dp/B00IJIOP3I/ref=sr_1_4?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1474461061&sr=1-4&keywords=clay+kit Is it as good as Meguiars, or do you get what you pay for ?
  6. Thanks for that, the weather has been more than good, we are hoping to dodge thunder and look forward to a bit of coolth !
  7. The needle is quite steady, just never seemed to get up to 4 bar. It was just a small but noticeable drop, but I guess that's normal after an 800 mile trip. We've now got 800 miles back, so I'll try to get a suitable top-up. Don't know about the foam baffle.
  8. The gauge is the standard gauge. It has never been up at 4 bar, it was about 3 - 3 1/2 and is now around 2 1/2 on tickover rising to about 3 bar at 3000-3500 rpm, thanks.
  9. I'm currently in the middle of a long road trip and noticed the oil pressure reading dropping over the first half from around 3 to nearly 2, which looked a bit low to me. I checked the oil level (with the engine running) and although difficult to see it looks like the level is a couple of xx from the top of the yellow part of the dipstick. Should I top up for the return journey ? And what would be choice of oil, 10W40 semi-synthetic, if I can get it ?
  10. Down here at present is the south of France, near Carcassone via Millau, Provence and Sete - and it's bloody warm.
  11. We, too, resorted to the half-hood to escape the turbulence but it just got too hot. Maybe without doors, but that kind of defeats the object. I found a well-fitting baseball cap to be essential, a small version felt like I was about to lose it all the time, a good peak is a necessity down here to avoid a permanent squint.
  12. Passed a silver/black seven in Montreuil, France on Saturday afternoon, any French members here ?
  13. Well, a headscarf did work up to a point, and was fine for cross-country, but turbulence on the motorway meant that limiting friction was exceeded.
