    Thanks for all the suggestions I have put it back together for the time being, trying to get it out via the boot sounds a good idea. What I cannot figure out is how to fit the new bushes, as the flat arms are welded to the bar and I have tried to get the new ones on but the hole in them is just to small to squeeze over the flat part (let alone trying to force it around the corner). I will wait and have a word with Andy Belcher from Tech7, the next time I see him, but I do want to replace them as they have a fair bit of play in them.

    As you can see I have undone the link and the two nuts holding it on, I have jacked it up the body but there is not enough room to pull the arm out as it hits the diff. Even if I could get it out, how do you get the old bush off and the new one on (due to the flat part of the bar) Thanks, confused of Carshalton

    I just spent 1/2 hour faffing about drilling out some big washers so that they will go over the long bolt I have, I put some washing up liquid on the bush and pushed it on past the flange. And it when all the way on, just by hand I shall just put the drilled put washers back in my box of bits I hope the rest of them are the same.

    Thanks so 1 big bolt, lots of lube, and mix it in with lost of swearing, That's tomorrows job sorted out then

    Exactly the same thing happened to someone at the Dunsfold handling day, but I don't know if he managed to fix it.

    That looks the same sort of damage that I have and the standard Caterham red, I decided just to replace both of mine as being 16 years old there was a fair amount of gravel rash. I think the cost of each wing from Redline was £120 each, it would have been a easy job if five of the rivnuts did not just spin. So it was get the angle grinder out time, I have also replaced the bolts with nylon ones hoping that these will be easier to remove in the future. I hope to get if finished later on today

    Chris, thanks for that I think I will change the bushes as it's easy to get to. Ian, there is about 6mm gap, and in 17 odd years it's not been a problem (famous last words )

    Having just removed one of my rear wings (flipping spinning rivnuts ) I have noticed that the above has a fair bit of movement in it about 8-10 mm left to right. Is this normal, or are the rubber bushes worn they have never been changed and must be 17 years old. If the bushes are worn, this could be the source of the squeak that I cannot find.

    Frosty, it is a easy job to do and should take no more that 5 minutes to do There are 4 x Four mm bolts to undo (2 per bracket), and the cable harness just unscrews. Then just push it out (mine is very tight), all this can be done by sitting in the car.

    Fitted in the standard 7" headlight's, just ditched the rubber cups. Apart from that, it was a straight swap.

    Thanks, that's the conclusion I have come to. The connectors of the coils packs were looking a bit worse for ware, so I have just finished cleaning them up. Then I will give it a go.

    Guess who managed to rip off the numbering that was put on the HT leads, when pulling them out Can anybody tell me which one is which, assuming that cylinder No1 is next to the nose cone. Thanks

    I was very impressed with the kit as well, I now have a proper airbrush and compressor and would those if I had to do it again.
