    Coolant

I have had very hot engine temps and no heat in the rad hoses on a tin top, back in my student days. The header tank had frozen up, and I guess some of the hoses too, hence no flow around the rad. Bearing in mind the temperatures we are seeing this could be the cause of the initial problem, after that yes you may have overfilled it and the excess 'Boiled out' of the cap, or you may have still had a blockage causing excess pressures. Ensure the whole coolant sytem is warm, all hoses etc, and refill to the correct level. Give it another run and see how it goes from there. Hope this helps Doug
  8. Saw you around 3 pm going southbound on the M4 junction roundabout, hood up. Doug
  9. Spotted this one too, those parking permits are a pain, especially 'cos I am a contractor and can't get one!! Hello to you Graham Doug SL #57
  10. I had this problem on a older fiesta. yes I took the head off and the nice engineering firm next door to my work took the plugs out, but all he used was a little bit of heat on the head around the plugs. Just a thought that maybe the heat can be put on from the top and not the bottom to get the things to shift. Doug
