Hi Dizz,
I am sorry to hear you have this problem but, in a strange way, pleased. It rather goes to prove that I was not making a fuss or that I could not drive.
You will see various suggestions including ankle training. The real truth, I suspect, is that it still has not been fixed. Mine went back to CC for a 500mile service and they fitted a tougher throttle return spring. It made little difference.
What you will find is that you will get used to it and think it has gone away, it hasn't and there is no reason for you to accept it. I judder a lot less now but I still do it. I am reasonably adept at controlling a car but to assure myself it was not me I got a neighbour who races a Lola to try it. He got out after 100 yards! He could not control it at all, exactly as I was when I first got mine.
It is really bothering me as SWMBO is a co-driver and she finds it undrivable thus preventing us sharing driving.
I now feel it is most likely a mapping issue but there was someone who changed the throttle pedal but it was not on a CSR. Aparantly it cured it so can we hope CC will issue a recall for a new pedal?
When I was there I was left in no doubt that CC were very aware of the problem: they must be as they could not deliver a factory built one like that.
I urge you not to "get used to it", pressure CC for a resolution and, please, post here any results that you get.
I am certainly not going to live with mine like this for ever.
Was this, perhaps, why the previous owner sold it?
(if you are anywhere near Caterham, where I live, I would be happy to meet up anytime and discuss my experiences with other, mostly resolved, niggles)
CoSwoRth it!
