  1. Haha Mark. RH doesn't need commission. . I am zooming get over with the car ahead of the Donington meeting, so in case you fancy a loak let me know (it might be on his driveway)
  2. Keen to sell so price reduced to £30,000
  3. Thanks Marcos59. There have been a few expressions of interest but the car remains for sale, enjoying it ever so much in the meantime! Can be viewed in or around during Bonn, will be coming get to England (Hertfordshire) probably during June.
  4. Thanks. It hadn't seen much use in the years before I got it and it has improved no end with regular driving and maintenance. It will be at Hockenheim this weekend and Donington in July unless it sells first. Chris

  7. Paul, I have sent you an email (got a strange error message when I sent a BlatMail)
  8. The Elie suggestion could be a good starting point (I love the used can of black paint laying around!)
  9. I have a very good 116e block if you are interested?
  10. Yep. Ran the engine for a while and it got back to normal. Also levelled the car on axle standa in its rest home as this one isnt being used this year.
  11. My 1981 Big Valve twin cam has been started after about 2 months and is spitting out sooty water and smoke from the rear exit tail pipe. The car has been in a cold sloping garage (nose higher than the tail) Engine started well and sounds good. I suspect that the water is condensation in the pipe and all will return to normal after a short run... Thoughts?
  12. Ever so hard to find. I guess that when the capilliary tubes failed people were tempted to 'upgrade' to electric gauges and ditched the lovely original AC gauges.
  13. It is wrong.. the springs are too short for the new dampers.
  14. The car: 1963 series 2. Live axle Having refitted the axle and suspension is think I have a problem. I am using the springs previously fitted but new shock absorbers. The shockers are so extended as the axle hangs that the springs are completely un compressed and can be lifted up and down on the shock absorber. The axle rests on the horizontal chassis tube. This sounds very wrong... Perhaps the wrong shock absorbers? (Bought from Mike Brotherwood)
  15. More research underway, thanks Dave
  16. I need to get into tight spots so I have ruled these out
  17. Thanks for the tip, I will have a look at air compressors too
  18. I am replacing my ancient Halfords rivet gun prior to fixing dash and internal panels. Any recommendations for powered options, I don't have a compressor so I am considering an electric Sealey CP312.
