    Big Brakes

As my previous post made no sense having read it I thought I would post again Just wondered if anyone had fitted the CC Big Brake kit and had a view on which of the fittings to use that are supplied with the kit? Basically there are brake lines with fittings and also two male to male fittings that I assume fit the caliper? Just that given the hole in the caliper the thread looks quite long and wasnt sure if it would block the brake line hole Anybody got any ideas?

    Powerspeed

Cannot recommend enough Had mine fitted last year, amazingly good quality and sounds excellent. Quieter believe it or not until you give it the beans then....... 😳 DO it you wont regret it

    Aero Screens

Just bought the RIF one and fitted it this weekend Really nice quality and believe it or it believe it not I managed a conversation with the passenger at 65mph! Fitted really easily once you have fitted the sealing strip and is interchangable and most importantly cheaper than the CC one 😬

    Thanks to EBD

Just a quick thanks to those who recommended Exhausts By Design I picked up the car today after graham had it for four days and he's done a bloomin amazing job, a real work of art The car has a softer sound to it at low revs but more torque all over the place than before and an amazing sound on full bore! I cant recommend his work enough Im off out for a another hour 😬
  6. yes very helpful Looks like the pic shows the EBD one with the CC silencer and one without when the two are side by side 25 - see youre point EBD (extra big ----)
  7. Thanks for help just wondered if there was any difference in the two visually thats all apart from the obvious shiny metalic tube look
  8. Was hoping for a pic of an EBD 4-2-1 if possible? I have one of the Powerspeed and mighty nice it is but as oily says EBD is much nearer to me and they seem like a good buch too!
  9. Thanks all Going there (EBD) this sat to drop off for four days to have it done Anybody got a pic of one fitted by any chance? Thanks again
  10. They do their own silencer though I guess? I only really wnat to use the CC one when I need to 😬
  11. Yep I got that all works well except for the shoddy sender
  12. The price has gone up on the Powerspeed system to £920 +VAT so EBD is now looking attractive Mark, did you go for the removable silencer or have a cat fitted to theres?
  13. Any views on best option for this? EBD seems cheaper HAa anyone got one and thoughts on quality etc?? Thanks in advance
  14. Yep all in I was quite a big hike in price from the group buy Seems like it may be the way to go though ......
  15. Trying to boot out the old 4-1 exhaust and get myself a nice shiny 4-2-1 Easy choice I thought Either CC route or go to Powerspeed or EBD as potentially better quality and lots cheaper However it appears prices have gone up to £900+VAT at Powerspeed due to cost of steel and such like Anybody got any other ideas or is it worth the £900?? Any help greatly received
  16. Prices have all gone up from Powerspeed Just got a quote of £920.00 +VAT 😳 Not sure its such a good deal now

Thanks guys got it out with an extractor - phew As an aside looking at the bolt, the shoulder on the bolt before the thread had a crack in it which must have been why it sheared If you have one might be worth pulling the bolt out and just checking the it As you all said lucky the thing didnt shear whilst running!!

    HELPPPPP

Just been torquing up the cam pulley bolt on my VVC engine and before I got even close to the setting the bolt head has sheared off! Looking at the head of the bolt it looks like the bolt was fatigued Does anybody know of anyone nr to aylesbury who could come out and extract the bolt??

    VVC cam pulley

Thanks both of you As finding a Haynes for the VVC appeared to be problematical I thought might be the easier option... Best get eating the spinach by the sound of it!
