    Kangaroo car

I had my VVC converted by DVA some while ago (VVC bits trashes and solid cams, verniers etc.)and its been great however now it seems when pulling away and at relatively low revs up to say 2500 i get a kangaroo effect ☹️ I have a emerald on their and im sure it can be adjusted out but not entirely sure where to start Any ideas would be very welcome Chris
  3. Hi All I had DVA do his magic on my 1.8VVC about 18 months ago and took him along to get the emerald set up when it was having its emission test. The garage at the time told me the lambda sensor was shot but he passed it anyway Anyway have replaced the sensor and need to get it booked in asap as the MOT has run out and Dave is away I think or busy Does anyone know someone I can take it to? better still someone who can set up a new map at the station so it can get through in the future (I have a removable exhaust so I can put the cat system on as and when required) Appreciate any help Chris
  4. Charlie Hijacking this a bit but I need a replecement and if you would like to sell one of your working ones I would be interested Chris
  5. I have some VVC stuff that following a DVA conversion needs to go EU2 EMU - Inlet cam - with all the trimmings Outlet cam - as above Plenum - offers VVC mech - Pulleys Engine had done 13,000 genuine miles so all in good nick Any takers?
  6. Thanks for that Can I get away with adjustables only on the front or does that defaet the object of doing them?
  7. Bit of novice on this so bare with me Would it be ok to use the existing shocks and springs (non adjustable) or will I need to change them as well Trying to keep costs down but dont want to ruin the thing? C
  8. What about set-up presumably the camber may be out?
  9. If I make the move to widetrack using the CC kit do I need to change the Bilsteins I have on the narrow track to accommodate it?
  10. I had my 1800vvc modified by DVA which now gives me somewhere between 185-190 bhp All I can say, as do many other posts on here,is that OIly is hugely proffesional and thorough and it has been 100% reliable It has also transformed the car - much quicker but also very drivable Don't worry about trade in as selling privately won't cause issues C
  11. I dont really like the CC ones, they dont look like they fit! Im gravitating towards just covering the areas that are needed but struggling to find a good alternative Thanks for the info though
  12. Thanks tbird looks like they are saying that stuff isnt good for high wear areas Have you used it?
  13. Just fitted tillett seats and the obvious scratches have already started Has anyone had the exposed parts on the seats covered with suede? If so who and cost would be great, better still I don't suppose any supplies them pre-cut to stick on? Thanks C

    Idle

Just had my VVC converted by Dave at DVA (great job) Emerald, solid cams,TB's etc The only thing is that now when it's started from cold it initially struggles to idle. Once it settles and warms up a little all is fine Any ideas? Chris

    Overheating

Ok had this for a while and fed up trying so thought I would ask the collective brains My 1.8 (was VVC now DVA solid cams etc) likes for the past three years to run its fan almost all the time once warmed up I have replaced 1) Hoses to silicone 2) Fan switch twice 3) Radiator for a Racetech heavy duty one The system has been bled and the gauge only shows 80 pretty much all the time once warm Its not connected to the EMU either Any ideas would be great - One thought was maybe the water pump is playing up but I thought that would have shown on the gauge? Chris
  22. John Thanks so much for looking,I needed them for tomorrow so I ordered some from CC At least I know where to get some from! thanks again Chris
