used to get a bit of a loud tappety noise in the top end after a spirited blat especially if the oil was very hot and fluid.. All now gone thanks to installing a oil deaireator - apollo. Cant believe I didnt install it sooner, as I backed off as soon as the noise appeared. When caterham opened up the top end they replaced Valve Seals and piston rings and big end bearings but found no damage but definitely have more peace of mind now the apollo is fitted. hmm sounds like a problem with the upgrade rather than normal experience with the supersport. My supersport is very forgiving in town can roll along along in 1st and 2nd without too many problems. could it be the ECU learning the new engine characteristics before it settles down? Sounds more like a dodgy sensor somewhere causing some confusion though. Call CC and see what they think. Gavin Striving to offer no value what so ever!
