  1. I'm hoping my fronts will last another couple of years to match the new rears fitted today. Then I'll fit whatever Caterham is using on their new cars.
  2. #21 I already got one of those with them on the front! #23 Good point. I was mainly asking for me, and my 310R has the same size front and rear.
  3. Would just putting the fronts on the rear be good enough? Saves swapping the tyres...
  4. #17 Now that's an idea. I might ask Williams if they'll do that when I'm there on Tuesday
  5. #13 yes my fronts seem to be wearing a bit unevenly.
  6. My rears are within 1mm of the wear markers so I've booked in for replacements at Williams next week.
  7. On the back you're probably right
  8. Two strips, top and bottom on the rear plate. Two strips next to each other under the grill for the front plate. So measure your plates to see how much you need
  9. The one I used has the code SJ3560 if that helps? It's the exact one in the link, bought on Amazon.
  10. I've done my front and rear plates using Clear 3M Dual Lock Tape. https://www.3m.co.uk/3M/en_GB/p/d/b40072057/ It's super strong (you can pull the car forward by the front plate) but also easy to take the plates off by peeling them from one side. I regularly take mine off to wash the car. Unlike Velcro it's plastic so doesn't lose strength when its wet and you can wash out anything that gets trapped in it with a hose.
  11. As already suggested - check the diff carrier bolts.
  12. #70 Adrian Flux gives windscreen cover and 5 track days (although the windscreen isn't covered on track). My track excess is £3,200 though, but that's still less than 10% the value of the car (which a lot of insurers use as the track excess).
  13. #31 Okay thanks. Williams can get them in so I'll get them to order and fit.
  14. #29 How much are the from Avon with the club discount?
  15. #27 I think I'll do the same. With 1mm to go I think I'll do another track day then change.
  16. Get track cover with your annual policy. Costs about £50 extra and the excess is usually 10% the value of the car. Sorted The cub third party cover was never a substitute this anyway.
  17. Out of interest, when do people change ZZS. When theyre at the wear indicators or before? Unlike normal tyres they're only about 5mm depth to start with...
  18. What Jonathan said - I have a 310R and generally drive an hour to the circuit and an hour home and only have to fill up at lunchtime. Having said that, I think the 420R uses a bit more fuel. Either way, the petrol station is 10 minutes away so easily doable in the 40 minutes between sessions.
  19. I don't think black carbon would look right on your car. All the chome looks amazing.
  20. The current Caterham carbon protectors go all the way down. The full XPEL PPF kit I have on the car includes sections that cover the exposed sides and go all the way to the top of the wing. I'm sure you could get that fitted on its own.
  21. Is it big enough to hold a wallet and phone?
  22. I'm interested. How does it attach?
  23. I actually bought mine direct from Oxted. Here's what mine looks like:
  24. I recently bought an Oxted mohair half hood - they're the OEM half hoods that Caterham sells. It's really good quality and in my opinion a nicer design than the SBFS one. It's shaped slightly differently and the straps look neater. They're permanently attached to the car, but very easy to fit and stay in the boot when the roof isn't on.
