    Diagnostics

I believe you need the MBU cable and Easimap running on a laptop don't you? EDIT: Beaten by a few seconds
  2. If you fit LED bulbs in standard lenses now it won't (shouldn't) pass MOT anymore. You need to change the whole headlight to an LED unit to be legal. I also have some Gemzoe bulbs lying idle since I fitted LED headlights. I bought bulbs before the legislation changed but they're basically useless now.
  3. If it's anything like my 310R, not accurate at all. You need to plug EasyMap in to see what it is. EasyMap shows my idle to be 800 rpm (which is the factory setting), but the rev counter shows 1,200 rpm!
  4. The S pack includes Road suspension and the R pack includes Sport suspension. They have the same springs according to the table above...
  5. Thanks James, I've sent you the original PDF which includes the race car suspension setup table too. Out of interest, how do you upload images without the forum making them low-res?
  6. I was sent this by Caterham when I was choosing between S and R packs... Apologies for the image quality - images seem to get reduced whether I use the Image button or the Upload file button... Edited with Tim's permission to provide a link to a higher resolution pdf of the table above which can be accessed 2015 Suspension Details.pdf.

    Catch Can

Looks good - probably a better idea than the Fiesta ST one which isn't vented (given Caterham's advice).
  8. Right, so while I was talking to Lee at Caterham about something else, I quizzed him on the mystery of the vented cap in addition to hose to the inlet manifold on the factory can setup. He said that even with the hose to the inlet manifold the vented cap was still required to stop over pressurisation of the crankcase. I've no idea why a sealed can is fine on a Fiesta ST with what appears to be the same plumbing, but there you go - from the horse's mouth.
  9. I'm really surprised to hear all the recommendations for the blue coolant. Lotus switched to orange in the early 2000's, and all their radiators are aluminum. I don't recall ever hearing anything about problems on the forums, so what's different about a Caterham radiator?
  10. It requires Easimap, an MBE cable and getting under the bonnet with tools on a Sigma unfortunately. Perhaps depressing the accelerator pedal lots freed up the cable?
  11. For S3 with track day roll bar and door mounted mirrors (H6). https://www.softbitsshop.co.uk/long-nose-shower-cap---door-mounted-mirrors-776-p.asp
  12. #58 Well that's how Caterham supply the cars, so I'm assuming there's a reason
  13. The odd thing is that on factory cars the can has a vented cap and an outlet hose to the inlet manifold. Why the need for holes in the cap at all?
  14. As I said previously, current cars have one hose from the crankcase to the can, and one hose from the can to the inlet manifold. They still have a vented cap though.
  15. The TPS could be out of calibration. That can cause those symptoms. You'd need a Caterham specialist with the right cable and software to set it up correctly.
  16. Caterham and Williams have both independently advised against modifying the cooling system and have suggested it could be an air lock or possibly another faulty expansion bottle cap. So I'm going to get the system bled and fit another cap before my next track day in July.
  17. I've heard it suggested that some cheaper lights, although having E marks, aren't actually compliant. Not saying that applies the the cafe racer ones, but you probably get what you pay for. Mind you, the OEM Caterham ones are really expensive, even if bought through JAL with the club discount (as I did). They are however, very good.
  18. It did on my Elise. No oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil, but all coolant magically vanished!
  19. I think I'll ask Caterham themselves for an opinion before I proceed with anything...
  20. When I had HGF on my Elise (also K-Series), all the coolant came out of the exhaust...
  21. Okay, so I can confirm that my car does not have a restrictor in the expansion tank return pipe.
