  1. Have you got an engine cut-off switch? There's a load-dumping resistor for that near the ignition that gets very hot, although I believe it only gets hot when the switch is off?
  2. Similar price to the AD08Rs I had on my Elise last time I looked. EDIT: Last time I looked at the price of ZZSs, not last time I looked at my Elise (which I sold a year and a half ago)
  3. I'd show you mine but it's less than a year old and has only covered 1,300 miles so won't be of much help...
  4. Well yeah, it was nice to see it again without the cover on I just hope we're allowed to drive them again by the time the weather improves.
  5. Well I caved and ran mine up today. It was a good opportunity to get it out from under the cover and on to the drive in the sun and breeze while I gave the garage floor a clean. I left it running for a good 45 minutes to get up to temperature and put it back in the garage with a nice hot exhaust. I'll probably not start it again now until the Spring though.
  6. Now I'm wondering if I should be running mine each month
  7. With the engine cut-off switch removed I wasn't planning on starting mine until the spring. Is there any need to start it?
  8. That's my approach too - this car's a keeper, and despite it being new last year I figured I'd start as I mean to go on...
  9. Do you do any rust prevention?
  10. Anyone else care to share their routine for laying up for the winter?
  11. Yes I've already overinflated the tyres.
  12. I should also say, I was very pleased to see that the full XPEL PPF kit that Williams fitted to the car before delivery has so far kept the paintwork free of any damage whatsoever. Long may that continue...
  13. I know some on here run their cars all year round, but my 310R is currently SORN until March so it can avoid the salt. It's less than a year old, and has only covered 1,300 miles, so there's not much that needed doing before I tucked it up for the winter. All I did was: Cleaned it to within an inch of its life (including treating the seats with Gtechniq L1 and the paint with Gtechniq C2) Touched up a couple of small stone chips on the chassis with Hammerite Smooth Satin Wiped all the accessible chassis members with ACF50 and painted ACF50 into the grot traps Overinflated the tyresIt's now under the cover with a full tank of fuel, the engine cut-off switch removed and the handbrake off. Did I miss anything? What do others do to theirs when they take theirs off the road for the winter?
