  1. You should contact someone in IT support. Oh...
  2. Do you not get the little heart at the bottom right of each post?
  3. I paid £330 for my Bell Sport 5 from Advantage Motorsport back in 2016. I recall they didn't have the non-HANS post version in stock so they 'upgraded' me for free (not that I use HANS). Thankfully I just do track days so don't need a new lid. The current equivalent is the Bell GT5 Sport, which is £439 from Merlin Motorsport. I actually tried on a few Bell helmets at Merlin (I also have a Bell shaped head) but ended up buying from Advantage because they had the size I wanted in stock. Both the Sport 5 and GT5 Sport are FIA 8859-2015. There's no mention of Snell on the sticker in my Sport 5.
  4. I had the oil changed to RRT at the start of year service this year. Other than that I've just checked the torque annually.
  5. I'll check the torque again this winter. My 310R is 4 years old now and has done 7,000 miles / 8 track days. Last winter when I checked it was still 42 ft.lbs though (the same as when it was new). I'll report back...
  6. That doesn't make sense. If that was the case they wouldn't perform well at 45 or whatever when new.
  7. Interesting the break out torque is so much lower than the Titan. I'd have thought there would be an ideal torque for the car?
  8. LOL look at the trail of destruction in this thread
  9. Which particular Sigma 1.6 do you have?
  10. Quote works fine though, and means you don't have to scroll up (or back several pages) to work out what was being replied to.
  11. My 2020 310R has a vented cap too and I don't get any oil in the engine bay. It doesn't have a vent pipe. I do 3 or 4 track days a year and only have a couple of mm of oil in the tank at the end of the year.
  12. What's with the air filter on the catch tank?
  13. #16 I have the Caterham cover so can't really comment on others. It is very nice. And yes, I've found one 55W heater under the car enough. I guess it might depend where you are though. I'm in Somerset...
  14. The tubular heater I use is 55W if that helps? It raises the temperature under the cover by about 3 degrees and lowers the humidity by about 20 percentage points, which seems enough to stop any condensation on the car.
  15. When I say condensation, I mean on the large metal parts of the car like the engine and wheels. You'll get that in any detached well ventilated (unheated) garage if the outside air warms up a bit after a cold spell. Those parts of the car stay cold and the increased water content in the warmer air entering the garage condenses on them. A small tubular heater under the car will raise the temperature just enough for that not to happen. As I said, it's a cheap and simple solution. If you want to spend more the next level up is a Carcoon to control the humidity, and beyond that is a heated, insulated garage. Personally I think Carcoons are ugly and take up a lot of space in the garage. A heated, insulated garage would be lovely, but would cost £££.
  16. I'm sticking with the tubular heater and indoor cover. There's never any condensation on the car and it's a simple and cheap solution.
  17. "Hammerite always seems a bit useless to me. Not long lasting at all." I'm not sure what is meant by this. It won't go anywhere unless you get another stone chip in the same place. "I can only find spray cans of the Simoniz stuff which could be tricky for some of the areas I've got in mind." Can it be sprayed into a small pot then be brushed on?
  18. That's really useful to know - I've never heard anyone recommend that before but if Arch use it
  19. My Elise had a digital gauge that showed amount left in litres. It would count down to 11l before it just said REFILL - i.e. with 10l left it basically said you're on your own. It was only a 35 litre tank so not the best accuracy
  20. Once it gets down to half start looking for a petrol station...
  21. I could believe that's normal for a hard day on track if it's hot. It's a bit worse than I get on my 310R but perhaps you drive harder/have more power than me?
  22. Check the diff carrier bolts are torqued too.
  23. Caterham and Williams were testing R88Rs yesterday at Castle Combe now they've been selected for the race series. After a hot day on track, my car now has 5mm on the (new) ZZS rears and 4mm/3mm on the (old) ZZS fronts (depending if you measure the outside or inside of the tread). I just hope the all need changing at the same time so I can change all four to R888Rs when the time comes. I guess it depends if the uneven wear on the fronts due to the camber causes it to fail MOT or prematurely hit the wear indicators on the inside first.
  24. Booked the day it went live. Sold out within 24 hours I think! Who else is going?
