Adam, I have a 6sp from August last year with exactly the same problem you describe. Its intermittant and I can't determine a pattern to the ocurrances either. Sometimes happens in other gears as well but by far most common in reverse. Its been like it since new and when I first reported it to Caterham I was told "they all do that for the first 2500 miles"! I've now done 3000 and its no better. I'd be interested to hear how you get on with yours and what the cause is, as I will be insistant mine is fixed/replaced under warranty. Good luck! Did a search for "le sept" on all forums, match all words, topics from last 10 days and got a handful of results OK. Tried again just changing to last 30 days and got 'no results'!? I got mine done at Motoworld (I think they are a chain so may have several branches?). They had the 'rep' from the supplier do it when he called in, but they were classed as 'Show Plates' as used by car dealerships etc. Ian - MI 5EVN

My company distributes Labor Saving Devices (LSD)cool.gif in the UK. They are mainly for installers running cables in buildings but do have some useful bits. Checkout here for Wet Noodle and Retriever, (retriever is a very useful bendy stick with magnetic endblush.gif) Superdriver and Walleye for example. Not sure what effect the panel damping will have on an A-weighted reading as A weighting is biased to respond to the 500-10,000 Hz range. C weighting on the other hand has a flat response generally between 32-10,000 Hz. I know the Goodwood meter is an analogue 'needle' type and probably has both weighting settings, C is generally the default, so perhaps it had been set incorrectly? (or had been dropped!) I have a digital meter, with A and C settings, (and accuracy of +/- 2dB at 114dB) so if you are in blatting distance of Maidstone you are welcome to pop round and we can experiment. MI 5EVN

On the subject of noise measurement, I have a digital Sound Level meter but does anyone know if the measurement is taken with A or C weighting? I am making a bracket (0.5m and 45deg from the mouth of the exhaust) to more reliably make test measurements, anything else to consider? MI 5EVN

Have a similar problem on my 4 month old K-series. The rev counter sits at 2000 all the time, until you rev above that, when the needle goes backwards and drops to zero! It was fine until it went back for its 500 mile service, however Caterham say they are aware, and are "working on it". MI 5EVN

I also have a CPM machine with an Eprom Blower and a very early version of 'Wordstar' and was about to dump it! Did you get any response or does anyone else know who might donate anything to Nuke for it?
