Thanks for all the responses. As I had no time I tried "sticks like *hit" which cost £6 from the local builders yard. I did no clean up and drove 12 hours later. Solid as a rock. 😬 Now I have to get the wings off for their respray. Three stays are stuck with Sikaflex - (no idea which version) and one stay is stuck with Sticks like *hit. Any ideas what the best way to remove them will be? I was going to try a stanley knife, but have no idea if that is a possibility. Seems I needed to check more "292 is "structural bonding adhesive sealant" 291 is "adhesive sealant" 290 is "caulking" You want 291 for sticking the wings on. 292 is fine but not if you ever want to get them off again. It's 290 you want for filling in gaps with a nice finish - it will not aerate like 291 and you'll get a really nice finish. With all 3 products, you can sand with wet or dry paper and paint over if you're really fussy about the finish. Again, with all three, you should ideally use the relevant sikaflex primer, especially if you're sticking to metal. Colour = Black in 290 and 291. White in all 3. A banker reversed into my seven while on the drive this week. I was planning on using it this weekend and will not have time to get some Sikaflex to reafix the front cycle wing that was knocked off. Hi Jon, I had not thought this through properly and it may not be terribly convenient to pick it up (my US guests said they will be very tired and would I mind not making the detour).
