Hi all, Tried to start my 1.6k series last night without much success. The engine wants to turn and a metallic 'clunk' is clearly heard. The fly wheel turns a few degrees, but the engine won't fire. Someone at work suggested I hit the starter motor with a hammer as they get jammed ??? There is plenty of charge in the battery. Any ideas would be welcome. Thanks DougieB

Hi, I'm hoping that someone can provide some insight into why I would be getting unreliable RPM readings. The needle seems to be slow in responding to engine revs and sometimes will not move at all. The result of this is that the rev limiter keeps on kicking in when I do not expect it. Has anyone else come across this ? The car is less than 6 months old and a K series.

Hi, I'm just about to fit a 'Tax Safe' tax disc holder onto a de dion (with windscreen). Has anybody else done similar and if so how and where did you fit. Thanks in advance DougieB

Can anyone suggest why no power is getting to the fuel pump ? I've checked earth points, wire continuity, inertia switch and fuses. All seems to be in order. Any suggestions ?
