I have a standard 1.6K with standard road exhaust. Does any one know what noise level this is likely to produce. I would like to do a track day at Goodwood which is 98db. I would have thought most Caterhams would have failed this. Is there a temporary way of increasing the effectivness of the silencer.

Thanks for that information. Does that mean that Shell Optimax will give improved engine performance? If so it would be worth using for short periods, ie. sprints etc.

Is all pump fuel the same RON rating, or does it differ from garage to garage? If anyone knows, which is the best fuel to use?
