  1. Hi - does anyone know if they metal bracket / thumbscrews that hold in instruments are available separately? I can't find them online anywhere.
  2. As per title - what are these bolts for standard Sierra rear brakes? Thanks
  3. Earth for the instruments is at the left hand end of the dashboard, bolted to the windscreen wiper motor bracket. Suggest you check all the earths though, ensure that there is connection with metal. In some cases that means filing off the powder coat.
  4. If it's a gelcoat colour, I would just replace it. Although if it isn't black, you might need to check the colour matches.
  5. James - can you let me know where you got them from please?
  6. Thanks James, sounds like a normal harness setup save for the unusual size of bush. My harness is definitely wrong then - bolt through plate into mounting boss, so locked solid.
  7. Thanks Jonathan. I have some but would like to know whether they are needed in the Schroth belts given my car hasn't currently got them.
  8. Hi James - I can find the generic Schroth ones. But for example, no top hats are included in the fittings on my car, the brackets are just bolted to the holes. Seems wrong to me.
  9. Hi Does anyone have a copy of the fitting instructions for the Schroth Caterham ASM 6 point harness? I don’t think mine is fitted correctly. Thanks, Charles
  10. Free - 5 x Yokohama A048R 170/55R13 tyres (no wheels). 3mm+ of tread, plenty enough tread for track days. Tyres marked ‘for competition use only’, not road legal. Collection from Weybridge.
  11. Caterham changed supplier quite a few years ago, I suspect that’s what the B represents.
  12. My 2003 1.6 K series Roadsport is for sale - converted from a race car to a road car but pretty much 'new' as a road car with chassis, engine and gearbox all rebuilt. I spent over £10K on it in 2016! Since then it only raced a few times in 2016 and once in 2017. The car is at PT Sports Cars. The spec list includes: 1600cc K Series sealed unit engine (120BHP) 5 speed Type 9 gearbox Ford 3.92 open diff Anthracite alloys Black Pack Tillett seats with harnesses Full cage Detachable suede Momo steering wheel Fire extinguisher Black aero filler cap Soft bits for sevens low profile boot cover Half doors. It will be sold with 12 months MOT. Full chassis refurbishment by Arch in 2016, latest spec imperial chassis, all new panels, newly painted in Morgan Sport Grey with removable matt orange stripe. Engine underwent full rebuild in 2016 by Paul Freeman Motor Services, forged pistons, new crankshaft. Dyno'd at 127bhp at Surrey Rolling Road a few months ago so engine is in perfect condition. Gearbox refreshed by Road and Race 2016.
  13. Does anyone - probably with a race car - have some good pictures of their scuttle and how the brake lines, extinguisher plumbing and wiring is placed? I like to have the ‘factory’ look for reference! Please blatmail me if needed and I’ll let you have an email address. Charles
  14. It won't be a Classic in 2005 - was that a typo? Caterham Classic Graduates Class Springs and dampers (i) All cars: a. Front: Standard Classic with additional link and 5/8"anti-roll bar. Standard linear coil springs over Bilstein dampers (Caterham part No: 75522). b. Rear: Live Axle (baffled). Lower A frame and upper radius arms. Standard progressive coil springs over Bilstein dampers (Caterham part No: 75524). c. It is permitted to fit adjustable spring platform kit (Caterham part no. DSSU01). Addition circlip grooves may be machined into the damper body to allow for ride height adjustment. (ii) Options for 1995 – 1998 specification cars: a. Front: Coil springs over adjustable rate Spax dampers. b. Rear: Coil springs over adjustable rate Spax dampers. c. It is permitted to substitute Spax dampers with adjustable spring platforms. Part number G775-AS180 (front), and G776-AS180 (rear). d. Springs are: 170lb to 200lb, 8 inch length, ID 1.9 inch.
  15. I'll wait to see the report, I hope it covers a more holistic safety view (e.g. presence of padding or not, seats and headrest, helmet required, distance between helmet and top of cage). The strength of a bar is just one factor and maybe not the one most likely to be the cause of injury.
  16. Yes, the Super classed removed lights and windscreen in about 2014. I raced against that car many times (and probably beat it more often than not )
  17. GRP only, not carbon (not allowed to race with carbon parts). This is specifically the B6, not the 'Caterham' Tillett.
  18. Do you know who's car it was in 2005 at the Academy, and then who raced it in Graduates?
  19. Easy to undo with an impact wrench if you have one.
  20. Does anyone have an Easimap cable I could borrow to see what functionality it provides on my new Sigma race car?
  21. Check the quality of the feed to the starter. We need to know the voltage at rest and when the starter is engaged.
  22. It’s a shame that the Caterham regulations for K series Race engines allowed forged pistons but did not allow anything other than standard rods so you had to reuse the interference fit. And sometimes you did get pin migration.
  23. For the record, I don't recommend a balance beam, waste of time and adds height to the crane jib. You can borrow mine (Weybridge) but I'm not that close.
