  1. Not used Eastwood but can vouch for POR15 products. Did my rear chassis and tank 15 years ago and still as good as then. Vital to get clean and trat rust before final coats but does need 15 deg temperature to cure properly. Have you got access to a generator so you can have power available
  2. Happy to help would need the battery off car and fully charged. Discharge test takes upto an hour and battery output is measured every 3 seconds until output reduces to 9 v for lead acid or 10 v for lithium. I charge £10 for testing though when I replace golf trolley batteries fromstock I lose the test charge. Most 7 owners will want to buy from Tayna so I would have to revover my time as I am not in the business of stocking automotive/ racing batteries
  3. I use PC545 originally designed as a net ski battery but also on motor bikes. First fitted one in 2003 and replaced after 8 years still going strong - recently tested and still ok. Lots of people use the 680 which is slightly bigger and heavier. Biggest issue is to eliminate parasitic loads
  4. I am a fan of exhaust wrapping ( lava rather than fibreglass). Heat is dissipated through the exhaust and this speeds up the gas flow, allegedly improving power output marginally but at least as importantly removing some of the heat, by confining it to the exhaust,that otherwise can cook wiring and conduct into the cockpit
  5. I have specialist battery testing kit which I use in my hobby business and am an approved battery test centre for lead acid and lithium batteries. Odyssey and other racing batteries loathe parasitic loads so you need a battery isolator such as FIA switch if you are going to use Odyssey etc. PM me if you want battery testing (graph/ report provided).     Duncan Rickards at Classic carleds is a top bloke. First class service. Watch out what colours you go for. White under coloured lenses or coloured under clear lenses not coloured under coloured lenses. JAL units are brighter but IMHO the cost benefits equation doesn't quite add up at JAL prices
  7. Almost certainly distortion in the flange as the 4/1 or 4/2 collector should eliminate any moment caused by the weight of the pipe. If the flange is true then should need any gunk to seal it. Never had an issue with my Piwerspeed system on my xf.
