  1. Android won't (well unless in desktop mode).
  2. I never experienced it, but I quite like what there is here. It's easy, it's clear, it's modern. Sure, I get the comments about search, technical pages and resources etc but surely that's stuff we can fix between us. Can't see any point in going back to the past, I mean, you wouldn't drive round in a car designed in the late 50's would you??
  3. I had 2 rattles on my car of late that took a bit of finding. 1 was the broken dzus fastener on the front of the nosecone (surprisingly mechanical sounding) and a second was on the collector where it was attaching to the primary, one which came and went with heat in the exhaust system
  4. Depending on how you are accessing the forum changes the format options. On an android device like my phone, I have to set to desktop site to get all format options (I raised this with Marcus who is looking into it)
  5. But, if you want to respond to a specific post, can you not just use the reply function and save having to copy the text/quote anyways? Am I over simplifying or missing the point? Whilst there may be other/better ways of forums, this seems to work in the round? Not discernably different to others but that may be a product of how I use it mind?
  6. Ah, takes me back. My nana made egg and pek flan, my mother egg and spam. Maybe it was a rebellion thing with my mother, who knows. But both top notch (though in her later years, nana Doris's food did start to all taste of fags, but he ho, no one's perfect)
  7. I don't like spam, but curiously my dear mother who simply cannot cook for toffee (bless her, I do try to be polite when I tell her) cooks the most amazing egg and spam flan (we're northern so it's a flan and not a quiche) which I cannot stop myself from eating.

.. is surely a misquote? A quote should be ".." shouldn't it? However, that then wouldn't be a misquote would it? Oh, my head hurts now
  9. Ah yeah, now you've said if, fairly obvious ha ha. I don't really know how it works but I think I can share a video with you privately and not out it on public you tube from my you tube account if you send me your name via PM
  10. If you have a YouTube account RJ I'll share a video of a run up Harstide Pass which is a favourite of mine. No silly cornering or excessive speed for all the reasons you mention (plus I'm very aware of cyclists and walkers) but it's a beautiful stretch of road to enjoy
  11. But, on the flip side of that, there is no better way to view some of the magnificence of North Yorkshire, Weardale, Teesdale & Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, than in a 7, with the occasional blast of noise and flurry of speed as you overtake the aforementioned Aygo
  12. Oh dear, failed again. I am but a mere whipper snapper on these pages, lots still to learn....
  13. A fiesta ST Line, obviously I obey all speed limits so she can keep up. Well she can catch up as I get to the speed limit quicker...... In all seriousness though, most time when blatting on the road, it's the joy of being out there that is the pleasure, not necessarily the speed
  14. Was the French blatting company anything to do the the carbon expert who lived in the fine lands of Northumberland at one point and made a car for his wife? If not, RJ, I'm more embarrassed as I know none (without reviewing the previous 3000+ posts and making some informed guesses)
  15. Choices, choices! Blatting for me now is getting tricky and requires intense negotiation. Last few blats have involved 3 different passengers (SWMBO, child v2.1 and then child v2.2). The very last blat involved SWMBO in a chase car so the children could be swapped half way around!
  16. Is there a special subs, entrance exam or initiation required to gain access to "the sheds"? I don't have a pseudonym, I do have another username but think North East AR would be a give away and perhaps frowned upon.......not that I'd do anything like that! I'm guessing this post is going to end up on new and updated. Best delete it before I get caught and into trouble for hanging out with the naughty lads in the shed. Oh bolloc
  17. It's actually the seat bolts that get the worst of it. If I'm on a yumpy road and hit a compression at any speed the shock through the seatbolt is transferred straight through the tillet into my spine. But, damn, she looks good and mean and purposeful. I'm all about form over function!
  18. Do consider tyre profile on 13's. I am 13's with 45 profile rear and do have some clearance issues. Not insurmountable, but one to hear in mind
  19. Would suggest yes, ford fitting which I believe is 108pcd. Think, though please allow someone clever to confirm, correct offset is 24 (can't remember the terminology, but basically meaning the wheel is offser outward my 24mm from centre)
  20. I did a charity handling event at Rockingham this year (doing doughnuts and sliding it around) which was immensely fun and a great learning experience for me. A friend of mine who came down to help out (carrying fuel, tyres and what not - mainly a drinking buddy in the evening) went round with me a few times and really enjoyed it. I then let him have a go, his first time in a Caterham and he loved it. He couldn't quite get the hang of it not having driven a 7, a rear wheel drive car or on a track ever before, but boy was he smiling as he invariably went backwards!
  21. Ian, as and when you do decide on next steps (assuming you're going 6 speed to 5) it's something I would like to do the other way, but have never had the money when 6 speeds have been available. So if you do decide to go that way, drop me a line and I'll check the bank account, and if fundage available I may well be a potential customer (not that you'll have any shortage of buyers)
  22. Seconded what Steve says, love looking at everyone's 7 in pics or vids
  23. Oh wibble, lovely looking car and great colour scheme. No matter how many times I chastise myself for doing so, I often can't help but covet another man's 7!
  24. I wish you well with your repairs and upgrades. One of the things I would like to do at some point is improve my gearbox (standard 5 speed) but monies not currently available so it'll have to stay on the wish list a while
  25. I wasn't looking at the pics RJ, just listening to the delights of a screaming K (plus the occasional forceful gear change your friend made)
