  1. Whilst it may be unlike you RJ, I suspect many people will very much enjoy like Ralph and I did (as much as I did enjoy your slithering around in the snow too) as well as getting sight of some interesting oversees tracks we may otherwise never see. I can whittle away many hours enjoying watching other people's successes as well as the less successful outings
  2. Brave to be out in 4c, braver than me! Held my hand out of my car window for 3 mins at 70mph in 7.5 degrees this evening as a test as to whether I could have driven the 7 today. I gave in after 3 mins. I'm clearly to soft to be driving in the cold.
  3. Ditto, well cool RJ, not sure I can compare to Ralph's eductated and clearly knowledgeable review, but my review, like many of a fast 7 lap with a screaming k is "it's makes me feel fizzy" which is very much a compliment. You should put some of your stuff on the L7C YouTube page so everyone can enjoy. I havent yet put any of my videos on there yet as only recorded on the road so far and I don't want to get any knocks on the door from the police (they may assume I was speeding as my car is quite noisy......)
  4. Yes, I did know you were being tongue in cheek, and likewise RJ, I'm just having a little devilment as life's a little more fun that way.
  5. This actually came up at the AR's conference today and there was a hope that knowledgeable and willing members could be engaged to help build up the "guides" and GTKY7 sections. I would happily help, but am a) useless b) IT illiterate and c) don't have any useful info to share. However, I can point anyone who is not a), b) or c) in the direction of a tall man who is looking for help. Any offers of any technical info guides and support for the site will be gratefully received. Not sure if I could have hinted any stronger to the like of RJ and Revilla etc. I'd add a thumbs up emoji at this point but I'm not in "desktop mode" (but I did also feed that back to the tall clever IT man today)
  6. Now now RJ, it's only defunct if "we" don't use it and on the basis a) I enjoy your posts and b) appreciate your extensive knowledge and c) the fact that you are a k lover (still can't understand anyone who isn't) I'll keep using it, ergo it's not defunct.
  7. Another thumbs up for Autoglym Super Resin
  8. Yes, indeed, that's exactly the one, looks to be attached to the front of the bottom pulley (though not sure what a 2 or 3 stage is??). Just looked at a photo and it's actually got and return at the front top of the tank and 2 breathers coming into the very top of the tank
  9. Definitely a pace tank and a pace sump, though never actually looked at the pump itself. To be honest never had the tank out, though from memory only a retrun pipe at the top, a breather at the top and a outward pipe at the bottom so should be relatively easy to undo and lift out (guessing the pipes have a replaceable o ring or similar under the connection)
  10. I'm just slightly concerned that whilst I'm putting c.5ltrs of new in, it's just going to be diluted by old, less effective oil. I've done a few times as it's a relatively cheap thing and never going to harm so none of the oil should really be more than about 4k old, but perhaps need to revise how fresh I think it is. Will look to see if I can find a drain plug (have syphoned it out thus far)
  11. Mine definitely isn't neat RJ. 7 wonders, if total capacity is 7.5l......I've never properly drained and refilled then......may need to do some research on that
  12. Isn't that the HMRC office responsible for equitable PAYE tax rules?

  14. Yeah, I've learned my lesson and am now going to keep it conditioned. There's nothing worse than your neighbours seeing you having to push your pride and joy sports car down the road to start it!
  15. I have been lazy in this regard and have on a few occssions recently ended up having to bump start the car which is a) embarrassing and b) results in me and SWMBO having a barney as I invariably become irritable as I've pushed the car down the road and she doesn't drop the clutch to my liking.......resulting in me having to push again! In order to prevent further matrimonial issues, car is now sat in the garage on its conditioner. It doesn't take long (I have a small battery) to lose enough through parasitic loss of the immobiliser to have enough to turn over but not enough to fire
  16. Ah, that makes sense, I think my Pace tank is about 5 litres so never thought about capacity. Ta's for the update, every day is still a skool day
  17. Just for the purposes of my understanding, why would you need dry sump and Apollo. My understanding is the Apollo de-areates the oil but in myvdey sump set up (pace) the oils drops into the baffle in the oil tank and that does the same job? Apols if I'm being thick but curious
  18. You just be from South of Catterick SJMMarsh, opp North that's referred to as a " high specification, contemporary, executive and exclusive housing development". We're so poor I don't even have a shed, I've had to re-purpose the fort and picnic table on the kids garden play thingy/swings
  19. If it's any consolation Ivaan I've just reviewed a presentation for next week entitled "One{insert company name} diagnostics update" for which I have been attending meetings everyday for the last 2 weeks and it's become a little tiresome. To alleviate the boredom, I've just completed my mandatory training on "how to handle stress as an individual and as a team manager". Gives you some indication of the level of boredom I was suffering.....
  20. Totally unrelated to your questions Gautam, but loving the new car, hope to see you out in it soon (but unfortunately can't make this weekend)
  21. The way I took my alternator out was front 2 primaries off (access and to allow the top mount bolt to be removed) then forward and up (having taken the expansion tank off, though not removing pipework)
  22. I've just bought one from Mid Ulster Rotating Electrics, can't for the life of me remember the website address. £9 odd including delivery. Quick, simple and really big range (AUDI VW SKODA 2 Pin Connector Bosch Valeo Alternator Plug 4D0971992 PL13-WL2 is the one I got)
  23. Ditto for look and sound of a Powerspeed system on a K. Make sure you read the instructions and do step 1 which apparently (I haven't seen them but know what happens if it isn't done......) and remove your alternator and turn the back of it through c. 180 degrees so the plug attaches in the 7 o'clock postion as opposed to the 1 o'clock they are usually (so it's in front of the engine mount) otherwise you'll have bother....... Drop me a PM if needed and I can send pics of how it should look once done
  24. I'm annoyed that I didn't make it to internet stardom!
