  1. Spooky. You must have read my mind! I picked up some small bullet connectors this afternoon. And I didn't know that the plastic cover was heat shrink! I have just been into the garage and checked and (despite not saying so on the packaging) they are heat shrink. Bonus. I should man up and dust off my soldering skills but I'd probably get a better result with crimping.
  2. I wasn't planning on fiddling with the white plastic block connector that plugs into the back of the tacho. I was going to cut the wires before they get to it (say leave two inches) and combine the proximal end with the DRE wires into the male end of a connector and plug that into the proximal portion of wire via a female connector. Does that make sense? Alternatively, I could expose the tacho wires and solder on the DRE wires.
  3. Wrightpayne that would be very helpful. Thank you
  4. The four wires plug into a white connector that clicks into the back of the tacho.
  5. I have just had a peak behind the tacho and there were only 4 wires! Result. Plus a much bigger black-sheathed cable. Dunno what that was for. So, going by your link; Red/White- Black/White-Ignition coil/signal Black-Earth Green-Accessories via ignition switch/power I looked at the windscreen wiring hole in the scuttle and depending how wide the wire is I reckon it might fit alongside.
  6. What's the best type/size of electrical connector to use when adding a set of shift lights to the back of the tacho? Does anyone know what colour the; Earth Signal Switched power wires should be? I could have a crack at wiring them in but wiring diagrams are not my forte.
  7. I WANNA BE DOC!!! (I'm not being Mr Pink again....)

    Odometer

I suspect that, as with many MOT requirements (eg lights) it is not necessary to have one fitted but if they are fitted they must work. I think the only thing that is a requirement is a working horn. Plenty of track bikes whizz around this land perfectly legally with no lights and a day time MOT.

    Door storage

Has anyone got a good solution for storing the doors? I keep finding dimples in the plastic windows when I lay them on something that presses on them. Don't fancy hanging them on the hinge pins. Looked into constructing a two layer shelf to screw to the ceiling of my garage to save space but thought there must be something easier.....

  11. Nope. It says Caterham. Is Raceline a provider of OE sumps?
  12. I have the original sump that came with the car. Is that a Raceline item?
  13. Anyone have a sump plug torque figure for a 360R Duratec (wet sump)? It not in the manual.
  14. I have two leather seats from my MY16 S3 for sale. I have used them for 2,000 miles but they are in pristine condition, especially the passenger seat which is largely unused. I rarely stand on the swab (I'm a bit OCD like that) and consequently they look like they are in the pictures. Damn! How do you post pictures? If you want pictures, I'll send them to your email account. Needless to say they look great. Brand new they are £400. £650 ONO Collection from Surbiton/Weybridge. Will deliver if reasonably local.

    New 360R SV

C'mon. Where you at? Fired her up yet?
  17. Mr Caterham Man told me that they HAVE to have a heating element as standard because if you have a windscreen you need a way of clearing it of condensation. As there is no provision for vents an element is the only option.

    LED lights

Thanks for posting. Do you think the LEDs would be brighter than the Twenty20s? And the LEDs look quite long. Do yo know if they fit? The original link I followed took me to Twenty20 filament bulbs.

    LED lights

Thank you. I had seen those but there was nothing with the options for LED bulbs and the specs.
