    Hi I've had a few ex-academy cars over the years, and like you have swopped Tillets for leather, cage for bar. What age is the car ? As it's an ex race car does it still have a transponder fitted ? My last 7, I had removed the cage fitted, fitted a roll bar some leather seats and some carpets...... Sold it to a guy who wanted to track the car and wanted a cage and Tillets !!!

    Curious to know why you and Nicks 7 take 5 miles for the water tempt to reach 70C. My 7 get's warmed up before it moves out from the drive .

    Update The old bolt was a M8 bolt secured by a nut, I managed to find a M10 bolt and yes it screws into the boss. Another bodged job by PTSportscars :-(

    Managed to remove the bolt. I now remember when PTSportscars had my 7 I asked them to sort out the fixing. First they used a Rivnut and I laughed........ told them it wouldn't last and to do it properly. I've no idea what they've done but it's certainly a bodged job.

    Thanks for the advice. I can't remove the bolt as the boss is just spinning around. It's a '97 car so the design might have been modofied on later cars ?

    Thanks Ok, so I' now guessing that the bush has come away from the chassis rail ?

    The bracket is loose and floppy but when I try to tighten the bolt the 'nut' now just spins freely .

    I'm guessing there's a captive nut . If so do I have to remove the inner panel to get to it ? Thanks in advance jonathan

    hi nope tach not working or the aces shift light. all stopped at the same time . Had a new starter motor fitted a couple of days ago but all was working fine

    Thought there might have been a few more owners who could advice me but many thanks for the gentleman who posted. After swopping the Powerlite for the multi fitment one, I fitted it but I couldn't fit the manifold and when I turned the starter to a different position I managed to fit the manifold but couldn't fit the starter as it was rubbing on the engine block. Gave up and it's now in the hands of Seven & Classics.
