  1. Removed from my Hayabusa I have my sectional sprint/track/road tank from a K series for sale. it has the right hand side completely separated into a 9litre section and then the remaining left hand portion has its own filler on the top of the tank and a fuel valve joining the 2 together for road and track. used successfully since 2009. £180.00
  2. Hi Roger. Another one bites the dust! I think that makes us less than 5 original competitors from the first year of the Championship. Although I have never had the pleasure of a class 2 entry you have provided us all with many memorable moments. i am certain you will be remembered for many memorable “incidents “ 😜 As Michael posted though. This is my fav. I won’t be around much this year due to new horizons but hope to see you at some point later in the year. if I still have the pleasure of competing at 79 years young I will be very very proud.

  4. Sorry thought I had posted. £1900.00 will add to OP also.
  5. 2008 Caterham Sigma Supersport iRS (Independent Rear Suspension) A super rare opportunity to purchase our demonstration iRS 7. The car is fitted with our unique independent rear suspension system. The de Dion tube is a thing of the past. All the benefits of the CSR chassis compliance yet retaining the very nimble narrow chassis of the S3. This car began life as an academy car. When I purchased this as my basis for the development of the iRS we always knew it was going to be a full refurbishment. A complete skin off refurbishment in 2021 all completed at Arch Motors. We then proceeded to fit the iRS kit along with way too many extras. This car had to be special yet very drivable and not extreme. Nearly all of these parts were new in 2022 Sigma 1.6 Supersport spec. MBE 9A4 - new 2022 - unlocked and mapped by Steve Greenald. CORE 1 way dampers - Digressive front pistons. Hyperco Springs Titan (just fully serviced and rebuilt) LSD - 3.92 Ford Standard brakes - Mintex 1144 pads front and rear Mix of copper and braided break lines Brand new Caterham 8 spoke wheels 6” and 8” ZZS tyres Carbon Carbon Carbon Dashboard Front wings Rear wings Excellent condition Leather Seats Caterham 4 point harness Lowered floors both sides FIA Roll bar Wrapped in 3M Crayon Grey with orange stripes New fuel pump and sender 5 speed Range of new dials and gauges Go Race quick release New CAT New Caterham polished silencer No heater Soft Bits half hood Doors New boot cover Just serviced and comes with MOT The iRS installation retains all standard brakes, dampers and drive shafts and is therefore reversible if ever wanted. Once you drive this car and experience the benefits of the system you won’t want to ever return and remain one of the growing fleet of cars. Please add up the cost of all the extras and add them to the base price of a comparable Supersport and you will see how much of a bargain this car represents. Private Sale £23,500.00 Note Tillets fitted in the pic below. 07920 843146
  6. They were technically 215mm Colin
  7. Just removed from my iRS demo car. 3.92 ratio Tracsport LSD. Completing just over 3000 miles and 1 track day. The private sale means significant saving on the cost of a new LSD being fitted to your differential. We fitted and fully serviced the differential when this was built with new bearings and seals. £1900.00
  8. You will never line up a Go Race to be the same orientation as another make or vice versa - or a Rapfix. Once the wheel is fitted in whatever orientation you should withdraw the entire column from the UJ spines down at the rack and then refit as close to the central position as possible. It is entirely likely that you would then need to centre the alignment/tracking via the drumsticks either side. Hope that helps
  9. As per the Doctor above. Your bypass from the QED runs largely back into the head. It needs to T in to the small outlet at the bottom so it goes back into the main flow of the system. This will warm up the system a little faster and then also not keep making these big changes in temps. I have run one of these on my SLR since day 1 and you will get that initial swing on first opening of the stat but it should be fine ofter that.
  10. I think that that option would work. However you are significantly under playing the weight of the engine, ancilaries, radiator, fluids, gearbox etc and occupants. The principle is OK in my opinion.
  11. Let me know if you have one available?
  12. £££££££ Just whispering Gixcer - Gixcer -Giixxxccceeerrr I have been taking lessons from Paul McKenna 🤣
  13. I was at the helm the last time we faced the same conundrum. We looked at the numbers at each venue BUT we did give a years notice to everyone that unless they attended their favourite events then they may be on the hit list. This notice period saved Wiscombe. It was number one for the chop but it had great attendance the following year and numbers held up over the following years. I do think it should be retained given our long standing partnership with the MG Club, it’s the cheapest event by far! And it’s another hill for that ratio thing. It is far more interesting than Aintree! I see David’s argument it was the same last time. It’s an absolute valid point but I have the opposite view that you should be committed to the championship to count as a champion. So I feel 7 is correct. In saying that there is really no way I want to go back to Loton the way we get treated as competitors. No Aintree. No Goodwood for noise on my part and gears! Other work obligations etc I just don’t see me getting to enough events in 2024 for the first time since we started the Championship. I think another 2 events =14 would be a good balance.
  14. The spring rates work for you Colin.
  15. Absolute bargain. £3400 + vat new
  16. Does anyone have a Ford Titan LSD sitting on a shelf they want a few £ for?
  17. Powerflex bushes have a lifetime warranty.
  18. As above I am looking for a pair of seats.
  19. I built one for my first K Clubsport after I lost a head gasket to a faulty fan switch. So my dad designed one effectively built as a RollRoyce idea. Apparently they didn’t run thermostats back in the day but just open and closed air to the rad. i thing we had 8 louvers all on one linkage controlled by a machine stop cable under the scuttle. Worked a treat if a little heavy.
  20. But all that dyno work and collective data is what we have created and built. I then use my knowledge of the cars - not just Caterham's - an enormous range of vehicles. I selct the target wheel frequencies for each use. When you have worked on things like this you will understand that a Caterham is relatively simple. Check out 3:40 sec to see the axle move. 7 dampers on this Dirt Late Model - I was here working at this race. All I want to get across is that new damper technology and methods along with the finer tolerances and seal designs have significant performance advantages. If this was not the case why are there so many differing damper brands all fighting at top level motorsport?
  21. Ben I have not taken my car to a multi-post rig. I do have data all collected from my car. Why would I share this on an open forum? Its my data for my business or personal use. I do have customers that have taken their 7's and other cars I have worked on to Multimatics rig and have found that other than minor adjustments they concurred with my setups. You know I don't have any qualifications in vehicle dynamics. I have never claimed to have them. But I do have 15 years of experience and dyno testing. Have worked around the world now with some of the best damper engineers in the business across a wide range of vehicle types. There are many people in many walks of life that are not qualified on paper but experience has led them to become suitably informed about their trade. Please carry on with your negative way of thinking. Many many of my customers and others who are no that have driven my car or any cars fitted with a range of dampers can attest to the improvements on both road and track. I never pressure anyone into any purchase. We inform our customers of the options available and allow them to make any decisions they wish. We regularly talk people out of some options that would cost more with little benefit. I am not sure why I have been dragged into explaining myself on the forum. You clearly have pressed my button! Its a shame as all I want to do is try to help inform people.

  23. Obviously, I am going to counter the 2 comments above about "expensive bling dampers". I would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate the difference.
