    Springs

Tazio that's a terrible thing to say about me From what you are describing road use wise and car weight I would get a set of 200lb front springs. Progressive rear. we can get that sorted - well the guys at the shop can as I am lucky enough to be in Daytona working for 2 weeks. Check out the FB feed for all the info. we can even probably make it work with springs that could be fitted to a new set of dampers in the future thereby saving some future cost/redundancy. we have our own progressive rear Eibach sorins made for us. However the cheapest way would be to find some used Caterham springs and swap. The front will be as Richard said @150lb which is a little soft for my liking. Or just mix. Get some. 200lb fronts new and regular Caterham progressive rears. Hope that helps.

  4. I don't think there would be any customers for the adjustable ARB. Given the current production costs I would expect to have to retail the kit for closet to if not in excess of £300.00 excl vat A double blade would add at least £150.00 myself I would use either of the 2 softest Caterham bars. I have always said this to customers. if we were to make the overall tube thinner or smaller diameter we would have issues attaching the blade to it.
  5. I don't sorry. I was told originally it went from softer than softest Caterham to harder than the hardest. I run my special double bladed bar at full soft.
  6. FYi The adjustable ARB produces the following figures. 45.2lb force in full soft 70.55lb at full hard The Red Caterham ARB is 66.1lb I have 2 kits left on the shelf and am not sure we will produce any more going forward.
  7. Stephen I can do pairs of dampers - no need for a full set.
  8. BTTT The one I found and paid for seems to have been misplaced. Refunded but now need one asap please!
  9. Limited Time Opportunity! SLR No.115 is about to go to paint. She will be for sale immediately after re assembly. We only took it apart yesterday- no longer a Hayabusa monster. MY51VEN will be reassembled exactly as she came out of the factory as a kit in Feb 2002. I am stuck between returning her to the original McLaren orange - very few in this actual shade - it’s brighter than most others - with carbon wings front and rear or painting her with something more modern. It’s having a new skin in the near side to remove the Busa exhaust cut out. A deep clean of the chassis. What an opportunity! You don’t have long to influence the colour. Call me if you want to buy her! 07920843146

    Ray Snoats

It's great to see Ray is back on the scene. it did surprise me to read his partially sober words from Wiscombe. the last I had heard of him he was missing in action in the South of France not some Spa retreat? I hope he will be able to report on a more regular basis next year so that we can again laugh at his ever changing view points and inconsistent writing styles. I never really know what to expect but I always end up chuckling about his point of view and perception of our wonderful sport. At least now we know why the fudge lady left early!
  11. I have never claimed to have a Motorsport Degree. What we do have is significant experience driving cars and motorcycles along with analysis of any adjustments and changes to springs and dampers using a dyno across a wide range of vehicles with multiple national championships including BTCC level. I don't wish to get into some sort of argument over who is more qualified. All I wish to do is help Rob out. Rob. You know where I am. You can call anytime.
  12. Ben I am sorry but I know Rob's dampers - I have serviced them. I could make the car go backwards into the corner or push straight on just by adjusting his 3 way Nitron's. I would not need to change any other settings. I would be happy to demonstrate if anyone ever felt the desire. You just need to know what affects what. Now I am not saying it is the damper settings and that it is not anything else. I know how Rob drives and I know he can drive well. What I wanted was for Rob to let me know the numbers he is running and I can look at the damper plots to get a good ball park feeling if this is correct.
  13. Rob. Its all in your damper settings. Call us some time!
  14. Looking for a single or double diagonal FIA Roll Bar. 07920 843146
  15. It is actually important to find out if there is a floating piston in the Bilstein. I have never cut one open to find out. If they are emulsion dampers which is entirely possible then they should have the body at the top so that the piston can sit in the oil until it becomes the emulsion.
  16. Jem for the Well done Jeremy I won't be there and would never be able to gain that much. I don't think Rob or Dan (if he gets in) would get that much %age either. Sat at my desk like Now I really need to make the Gixer work next year!
