zetec
I've still got the 'normal' comma stuff that BGH gave me to fill the box with- am I missing out on some slick gear changes?
Titanium7
Lots of chatter regarding this over the last few weeks. The only consensus is, make sure it's GL4 not 5.
stuart147
Hi Zetec. When I had my gearbox refurbed at R and R Phil told me to use 1.2ltrs of Caterham branded semi synthetic gearbox oil. He was quite specific about the quantity. IIRC, using this amount never had it coming out of the filler plug. Stuart
Paul Deslandes
If you're happy with your gear shift then I'd stay with what you've got. If you want to compete or track-day with the car and you find the shift a bit slow, try Redline MTL as, from personal experience, this slickens things up quite a bit.Have look at the thread that's been running for the past week or two for more info, preferences etc.
7 wonders of the world
1.2 Ltrs is the correct amount, you need to measure it toufg as the filler/level plugs are set at verious heights on the box depending on the original application of your gearbox. Some took 1.9L which is too much for high seed use as it airates and overheats.MTL
