It had a for sale sign with a "Skull & Crossbones" over the top. - Not I would think for the fainthearted ore inexperienced. Imagine what happens on a damp road when the turbo kicks in at 3500 rpm! I wouldn't want a turbo in a 7, the throttle response of even the best turbos is woefully short of what you get with a nicely tuned nat. asp. engine. A 7 is all about quick responses. History is started life as JPE purchased by one of the heirs to Tetra-Pak who live in Oxfordshire. He spent about £55K in total getting it turboed by whoever-turbotechnics/Courteny etc., then traction control etc., etc. After 6 months he got bored and gave it to Arrowstar to sell-at whatever price they could get!! They sold it for £22-23K if I remember correctly- apparently it is something of a beast, but I tell you what- I'd have sold my Granny...... They must have seen him coming! I saw the Tetra-Pak car being built in the factory. Len Unwin pointed it out to me and explained that they were going to make it *really* difficult to get the bonnet off, but eventually when you did all the fluids would splurge out it all directions... Red SLR Posted November 17, 2000 Author Share Posted November 17, 2000 It does seem a very high amount, a decent race V6 for hillclimbing is only about 25K (500bhp) so just what they spent 55K on I dont know. lets face it, 320bhp from a 1800cc turbo engine is not all that much, some cossies can reach 650+ so 200cc cant make that much difference!
