myothercarsa2cv
Long shot... Anyone upgrading (or planning to upgrade) to a Titan or other? Or wishes to downgrade to an open diff? Edited by - myothercarsa2cv on 4 Nov 2013 21:25:
Roadsport06
Out of interest, why are you looking for a ATB differential?

Roadsport06
Steve at SPC could spend several hours telling you a plate diff is better. 😬
myothercarsa2cv
Well I've had a look through the archives and read about the various types... The ATB just seems to fit the bill. No worries about preload, seems to be reliable and will be for my modest power, and will probably bite less harshly when it goes awry. I don't plan on doing so much track work and bouncing wheels in the air so that's not a massive concern. I see Burton have them for about £640 which seems reasonable too. If I can save a bit by getting one that's being upgraded, all the better as I'd like to do a few other things over Christmas!

Garibaldi
Used an ATB in my 250-280bhp (variation over the time I have had the diff)Vx for 8-9 years and had no problems with it.... Plenty of tail happy fun with trackdays and LOADS of mountain passes....!
7 wonders of the world
Take a look a 3J's NXG, Design and made by the guys who used to be at Tran-X before the brand was bought by Quaife. Dan Jones was always keen to help and I got good discounts by buying direct whilst he was at Tran-X, he happily built mine to my spec of ramps and preload I would suggest 45/90 with around 10lbs preload for a 7 for a briskly driven road biased 7 3J Driveline
myothercarsa2cv
Thanks 7WOTW. They look too good to hide 🥰 I was actually looking at Tran-x, but am still hoping something comes up second hand, as that would save me a heap of cash
