Hi guys,

This has all gone quite, i have tried repeatedly to find out a price/delivery times but i cant get to speak to the guy at Britax, how hard can it be to box up 50 bloody lights and send them to me!!

I'll keep trying, we may have them as christmas presents *smile*

cheers

Jon

Hi all,

It is with deep regret that i must inform you all that this is going nowhere.

Britax having checked stock levels etc etc, now say they need an order for 500 lenses is to get the thing into production, thats just too many for us. They say its an old part and its only Caterham's that use it.

The only way around it is to split existing red/amber and clear/clear lenses and make up the red/clear.

I have tried and smashed the reflector in the process, this can be ordered through a distributor, although i haven't tried to order one as yet.

Thanks to everyone for sticking their names in.

regards

Jon

Following on from Jons great idea on rear light units and

as you may have read in Lowflying we have tried to get Britax to revise their stance on this club bulk buy and I am pleased to say that I have some good if not perfect news

I have been able to negotiate a bulk buy of just 186 light units but these will be supplied in kit form only so will need to be glued together

any takers will receive the three elements to create each rear light unit

one clear lens for indicator

one red lens for rear/stop light

one centre reflector

The cost of this kit would be £6 per unit plus postage /pack at cost

Please register your interest on Blatchat only

profits if any made from this bulk buy would go to Nuke the Luke

Well done.

Two units please.

It would be good if you could give priority to those who have already responded, even if if they are slow responding to this.

It's quite a long thread: please could someone summarise currently recommended bulbs, LEDs and accessory bits.

Thanks

Jonathan

PS: Does the title of the thread need to be revised?
