  1. Thank for all the replies! i tried to use the supplied cage but it just wouldn't fit in a good position so after much deliberation, I made some small wooden blocks to pack out the original tray. Painted black I think it looks quite good! ian
  2. Hi, My banner battery has finally given up the ghost in my 2012 supersport. Too many complete discharges I think. I have a conditioning charger now but the damage was already done! Reading up on suitable replacements the Powervamp PVR22 seems a good choice. Does anyone have any photos of an install? Do I need the bracket that they can supply or can I modify the banner bracket? Thanks Ian
  3. Hi, I completed my Supersport build last Autumn and had the dampers on the traditional way first and was then told by CC that the upside down figment is correct so had to swap them. Wasn't particularly happy as they were a pig to fit!! The top (bottom?) also touches the bottom wishbone like you suggest and I raised this at PBC. CC said it was fine and with the car on the ground there was a small gap. I can't say that it's a great design but more of a case of TADTS!! Ian
  4. Another from me too! Dave did my Supersport back in September last year! Ian
  5. Hi, I'm pretty sure that there are socket head bolts for my steering rack clamps, which recess into the top half. Ian
  6. Hi, Could I take the Caterham hood bag (with "7" stitched into the ends - used once) £40 Thanks Ian
  7. A set for me as well please, again if not too late! Ian

Hi, I used one of these, Laser Mini Pumpfrom amazon. It has a nice curved aluminium nozzle which hooks into the open filler. Took quite a few pumps to get the job done but very little mess. Ian Edited by - Apollo71 on 15 Jun 2012 08:43:22
  10. Hi, I'm interested in the hood bag if it is still available? Thanks Ian
  11. Thanks everyone! I think I'm gonna get the PBC done then arrange the IVA at Gillingham myself. Ive got plenty of other things I can spend £425 on and I think the drive up to the test centre will be a good way to get through some of the running in miles!!
  12. POBC I'm a about 4 weeks or so from the end of my build and so I'm looking at various options for the PBC and IVA, and would appreciate any views on the best way to go. Obviously CC will do the PBC and can present for the IVA at Gillingham for £425 and would cover any retest fee if necessary, and the logisitics are more straightforward, but baulk a little at the cost! However I am thinking of the following: Book IVA at Gillingham Book PBC at CC for the day before Trailer car to CC for PBC Drive car to Gillingham for IVA the next day and present myself Trailer car home Registration at local DVLA The only problem will be if the car fails and I have to get a retest organised, which may involve getting the car home and waiting for a retest date then trailering back to Gillingham from Dorset! Has anyone done done this or should I just stump up the cash and let CC do everything? Any views welcome!! Ian
  13. That's exactly what I did, as I expected a warning lamp when the handbrake is applied. Even if it's wrong the connector is easy to swap over, so I'll check when all the wiring is complete and before I cover the transmission tunnel Ian
  14. I emailed Sean yesterday just to confirm and he stated that the handbrake switch should be installed and connected to the respective connector in the transmission tunnel. So off comes the handbrake for refitting!!! Ian
