  4. If you're still looking, I have a 1.8 mpi head which I'm willing to sell. I stripped it ready to do a bit of head work but never got round to it. All the valves, springs followers etc are in little boxes for re-assembly. yours for £100. if you'd like it let me know. I'll be sprinting at Crystal Palace over the bank holiday weekend so you could collect from me there. Www.motorsportatthepalace.co.uk Tim
  5. Hi Tom, Yes they were but I'm afraid to say that you've been pipped to the post by another member you PM'd be within a couple of minutes of posting the ad. Tim
  6. After a re-build I have a few items for sale (all prices Ex postage). £25 MFRU (K-Series) £45 MEMS 3 ECU Pair of Minilite wheels 13x6" with Yoko A539 (rubber un-used but 6 years old!). Condition described as 'Good', one rim has just a very small bit of spidering beneath the powder coat but no scuffs. £100 (collection from Dorset or London). K-series 1.8mpi lightly modified cylinder head - Bought 5 years ago from a member but never assembled or fitted. The head has been stripped and has had work done to the inlet ports. Would benefit from a light skim but no deep marks. Parts are all boxed up so should all be present. It will need a new tensioner although the old one is in the boxes and it will need a set of cams. £150 (will investigate postage cost)
  7. Fob still available The other chap didn't have the Red fob.
  8. Sorry Roger already gone to a chap on Facebook site. For information the blurb says that you must have the original Red key. Yes it's for a K-series. Tim
  9. Some years ago I managed to loose the immobiliser key for my Caterham, I then bought a replacement programmable key but never got round to coding it. I've now replaced the security system as part of a major rebuild and have no use for the spare key. It's not been programmed but comes complete with instruction how to do it. Bought for £40 I'm looking for £25. PS The red fob is needed to program the new one!
  10. Plastic plugs.... Top idea. Tim
  11. I've just had Arch fit another couple of bosses for my 4 point harness to accommodate the use of a HANS device but I now have a couple of large holes where the old harness bolts used to be. My plan is to get another couple of bolts to blank the hole but I'm not sure what the thread size is. Can someone enlighten me. Many thanks Tim
  12. Looking through the posts from 2003 the cable in question was £3. It's now £12. That's inflation for you.... :( Tim
  13. Hi Jonathan, I've just been in touch with Caterham, initially they didn't know either but it turns out I need a cable. Why a button isn't good enough I don't know! Tim
  14. I've just got my car back from its re-build and I'm flumuxed when it comes to resetting the new speedo. It's nothing special, just one with a mile counter and a trip but unlike my old speedo there is no button to reset the trip. Does anyone have any ideas... http://www.caterhamparts.co.uk/product.php?id_product=3041 Tim
  15. Hi Marcus, I believe that another way to fix the big heads is to use fibreglass mat and resin. In the past I've used Sikaflex without issue. Others will be able to advise about the IVA. Drop me a PM when you find out. Tim
  16. Hi James, just one observation, To find the details in the 'What's on' section takes a bit of trawling through, (I've just tried finding details for Brands GP). Can a link to the track day info (in 'What's on') be included in the original event notification in this section 'club track days'. That would be very helpful. Tim
  17. I've just bought another batch of 15mm Bigheads and have 8 extras. Available for £20 inc P&P. Please PM if interested. Tim
  18. Oops I got my ROPS muddled with my FHR's. Too many acronyms
  19. If the chassis is going back to Arch mention to them that you intend to use ROPS and they can up-date the harness fixing positions whilst they have it. Although it will depend on what class you intend entering, if Road-going my understanding is that ROPS isn't require.....yet! Tim
  20. Ok! It seems that to be correctly certified I have to go to Arch with my HANS device & helmet, sit in the car and have the harness fixing installed for my particular set-up. All for the princely sum of £200. So to be compliant with Mod Prod the costs are: HANS - £250 Helmet - £375 Harness fixings - £200It's all getting quite expensive when for rather less I could put a different set of boots on my spare rims and run in Road-going. I have a bit of time to ponder.
  21. Interesting point Malcolm. The other issue I'm finding is that the FIA guidance states dimensions between harness fixing points based on the width of the HANS collar. The problem is that this information is not given by the HANS manufacturers (schroth and Stand 21) instead they give shirt collar size which is not particularly helpful. http://www.fia.com/file/2059/download?token=JZgU_uNN
  22. I'll be on the phone to Bruce first thing Monday. Chances are he's incorporated the change (fingers crossed), that part of the car was completely replaced. Tim
