  1. On 45's at present and they are at max ! Wonder if its possible to put different cams in to push up bhp without having to mess with complex stuff , already have high lift pistons , race springs , solid lifters . Edited by - combine on 16 Dec 2012 16:34:27
  2. So having injection swop over from carbs in early jan and wondering what difference it will make , will I get any more bhp as well ?

Parked outside Nick Potters works today - Fri , with nice number plate - csr 260 ! Looks the business .
  5. Parked in the big park at the Aviator bar/airfield , then saw it coming back on a run and allowed it infront of my z4 mc , it failed to escape even on corners and had to cross the white lines ! Surely 7's are faster than heavy teutonic metal ?
  6. Blue 1600 roadsport behind me in my 'other' sports car the black z4m coupe , had a chat with you on the road , your from Welford ? Anyway you sped off in the fog and I managed to catch up , I think you were going slowly due to fog and the accident on the hill this morning.
  7. Green & yellow with full roof on as it was wet around 2.30pm today sunday , nice one ! Holt -Nth Norfolk Edited by - combine on 22 Apr 2012 21:26:11
  8. From my 1991 vx 7 , have replaced them with grp tillets. Good condition , no cracking or splits. £180 for both.Haven't taken any pics yet but will do tomorrow if anyone wants to see them.
  9. This particular fastner on both sides seems to get a lot of stick , both mine have been trouble , someone put a small screw in on side to hold the fastner and in the other which sometimes fails I've had to put a small rivet which can fail too.
  10. Haven't read that copy though someone on here is bound to have ! Mines a dry sump luckily. How many 7's are out there in your neck of the woods ?
  11. Didn't know anyone used the old hood , looks dated and unnecessary. Helmet or soft hat and glasses are best !
  12. Once you've tasted an increased bhp from upgradis then you're hooked , have gone from 175 to 230 bhp and big brakes/new suspension and am now going for injection , can't wait to get Tb's ! 😬
  13. Does this method work on alloy wheels too ?
  14. Thanks for that Kevin , much nearer than SBFS , will give them a ring !
  15. Quoting Cookie Monster: I got mine altered at a local trim shop. This meant that I didn't loose it for days & I actually did it with him. Price was very reasonable & nice to support a local business. I have also used SBFS too & have been very happy with the service it's just that this was more convenient on this occasion What sort of local place would do alterations to a rain proof standard ?
  16. Thanks for that , presume they need measurements , will ring them . Ian , will know doubt see you soon with the fuel tank !
  17. Anyone had their tonneau cover altered to allow for front cage strut on each side ? Who does this and about how much , presume there's postage involved ?
  18. Just shows how thin these modern engines are , god knows what a 2011 engine's like !
  19. Whats the benefit of a lowered floor ?
  20. Quoting Roger Ford: Would anybody with a lowered floor and tillets on the standard adjustable runners be able to tell me where the holes are drilled in the floor? I just need to know how far in front of the back the rear hole is, or alternately how far from the cross-bar the front one is. TIA. Excuse my ignorance on this but what is a lowered floor , can it be lower than a normal floor ?
  21. Useful article in ' Total vx mag' feb issue on Tb's and length of trumpets.
  22. Good to see your vx Kevin , presume its very tidy as usual .Really nice close up of the trumpets , thinking of going similar to what you've got there , just want to make sure also that I don't have to alter bonnet much to get filter on .Want a nice tidy set up.
  23. Quoting Dave Jackson: unequal length Great pic of trumpets and set up , work of art !
  24. Interesting article ! Sounds like Lee's 90mm is around the most useful/practical length so that air filter will fit as well ! Edited by - combine on 27 Jan 2012 17:52:00
