  1. small furry woodland creatures..... Steve SV VHPD Drive Like Your Wife Depended On It…
  2. Geoff and Louise had the exact same thing happen on Targa-Liege this year. A bit of searching, and you may find other interesting lighting conditions, as they did It was a loose ground connection, search for Geoffs' posts and you should find the answer. Darren and I talked with Geoff as he was about to butcher his wiring, which would've been a VeryBadThing....IOHO..... Go team GBR ❗
  3. Serious Question: Is petrol the best to clean the black foamish air filters on the throttle bodies? Then a rinse with a pressure washer? Or warm water and detergent? And a pressure washer? Or putting it in the dishwasher like a vent hood filter ? i figure with about 5k miles it is due a clearing ... Steve Edited by - w1scb on 4 Nov 2002 08:49:26 Edited by - w1scb on 4 Nov 2002 09:58:15
  4. We installed the Peltor system as we could clip into our helmets, or wear the practise headsets without mods. I can attest that the practise headsets on the Nurburgring were the dogs b 🙆🏻llocks. We used them for 4000 miles in Sept-> Oct touring europe and would buy them again. We didn't splash out on the industrial strength amplifier, but the 9V version. In time we'll probably buy the industrial one, to interface mobiles and MD player. A number of folks on the same trip had Terratrip, there seems to be a roughly 40:60 split Peltor to Terratrip in my sample of about 20 cars ❗ Go team GBR ❗
  5. AO21R's worked well on Targa-Liege 2002 this year in the following: rain, hail, snow, sleet, black ice, mud, dirt, loose tarmac , and COW SH*T the latter was like a combination of the first 5 together, proof pictures on www.meltingclock.com/rallye2002/index.htm Go team GBR ❗
  6. Excellent Andy I'm in a black metallic SV so I'll try to find you as well..... Go team GBR ❗
  7. is it advisable to add them to reduce stones coming in when you don't have doors on? is there a source in the UK of rubber to do this? i'm not so agrieved by the stone damage to my rear wheel arches from targa-liege 2002 as the amount of stones in the cockpit... Go team GBR ❗
  8. as in a place to advertise jobs in your company as in a place we can post our CV's for others on blatchat to view, and perhaps help us get jobs... steve Go team GBR ❗
  9. most excellent. just found a new copy of DIgital Camera magazine with a free copy on the front of it. whilst she's doing her pictures, i've got targa-liege 2002 ready to FTP up....scb Go team GBR ❗
  10. Does anyone know of a freeware, or very cheap shareware program to take contents in a folder in M$oft world, and make a web page. Ideally, something that would allow my wife to take pictures, drag them into said tool, which would create thumbnails, so when you click them, the pictures are normal size? I don't want to sit for a day or two taking several hundred pictures and learning/debugging/tweaking tables to do this. She wants the tool to do it..... Go team GBR ❗
  11. I have been informed that a hotter plug can offset altitude problems. 😳 wouldn't the same be true for just closing down the gaps a wee bit 🤔 scb Go team GBR ❗
  12. I had another owner, 6' 5" in my SV on Saturday at the gathering in Penn. I can attest that he DEFINITLY had about 2 inches of bar above his head when in the seat, as I looked very carefuly when he was in my car. I've got the FIA bar, so I don't know with your being 6' 6" if you've actually sat in a SV or not. steve Go team GBR ❗
  13. Mark at RatRace in North Barnet (London) has a chap who has all sorts of experience with racing engines, K's etc... I've been talking to him and he's someone I'd definitely talk with. Mark is on 02082165567 and his engine guy is ACE from what I've seen. Would satisfy your "plug & play" position IMHO.... ❗ Go team GBR ❗
  14. We dumped our Cerbera after 3 blown Speed6 engines in 13 months We couldn't decide on the SV or the SLR, or Classic. Our decision went to the SV, with VHPD for several reasons: 1) a bit of room in the cockpit, as well as the larger boot. 2) things that would be options on a Classic or other 7 were standard. 3) the VHPD behaved very much like a TVR's speed curves, albeit it's a RELIABLE engine as opposed to.....see above 4) it was just too much fun to drive, and be in. In our TVR folks were routinely rude, you posers in a TVR. In a 7, we get all sorts of folks coming up and talking to us, OAPs waving, etc. Whatever 7 you settle on, you'll not have: 1) Blackpools' "attitude" 2) as high as (1's) repair bills 3) something reliable for years to come. All in all, I look forward to converting you to 7 ownership. You'll be ever so happy! Go team GBR ❗
  15. The VHPD misfires over 3000 ft in altitude in my experience in this years' Targa-Liege. I attribute it to several things: 1) still have the MEMS, will upgrade to Emerald when have a job 2) plugs fouled up, had to regap and clean then twice 3) wrong plug gap, now using .90 instead of .98 these all added up..... 🙆🏻 Go team GBR ❗
  16. I have discovered that from conversations with Nige, and checking the 1.8K manual, that the correct gaps are NOT .95-.98 but are .90. .90 is how they come out of the boxes FWIW.....steve I really want some HOTTER plugs, but am at a loss as to how/where/what they be. I've searched the guidebooks at Halfords, which were a load of pants IMHO..... Go team GBR ❗
  17. Would it be possible to create a new section just for jobs please? Steve Texan Nutcase Loose with VHPD....
  18. It appears that the forums cause unique problems using an iPAQ and WinCE2002. I've got a 802.11 card in my iPAQ and sit in the lounge during chick flicks and surf the forums. Performance for the browser is 'orrible.... Can't find out why, seems ok on Laptoy..... 😳 Texan Nutcase Loose with VHPD....
  19. BTW, Will make reasonable donation to NTL in exchange for reasonably priced M3D K..... ❗ Texan Nutcase Loose with VHPD....
  20. (Due to redundancy, can't afford new one). Email me if you know of one.... stev Texan Nutcase Loose with VHPD....
  21. Steve-B
